Dont quarter the slider during the pack job .... openings are a touch quicker and tend to rock about a bit

hi, Have done some jumps on the Vision 117 There are a few at my DZ In my opinion it opens and flys better than a Stiletto ( have around about 1000 jumps on a stiletto ) and turns slightly faster gets much more radical the higher the wing loading

You need to sneek a Velo in there at some point !

Set 400 - opened hard - blew a couple of cells and more lines than I could count Reserve opened maybe 5 secs after I pulled the handle Same with a master main that bust some lines on opening

SET 400 with 2K + ... landed on grass ... opens slow ... but still got loads at landing flipper

Got an Icon (I2) ... Its tip top no hassle no worries ... gotta another one on the way ... yep it may be cheaper than a Mirage ... but its no compromise

yep agree - seen this 'new' canopy being jumped in feb - it looked very Katana like in shape

Had this myself, student was a lot bigger than me .... not really that much you can do about it other than make the landing as soft as possible

yep ... Veng 120 / 107 ...for maybe a few hundred jumps then onto a Velo 96

The Arrogance of Bad Canopy Flight

Seen an incident a few years back at a fairly busy european dz ... 'hot' pilot comes into land cuting other canopies up etc etc etc ... result was that one of the cut up pilots told the 'hot' dude what a prick he had been ... 'hot' pilots reply was ' I have 2000 jumps I can do nothing wrong '....it was at this point that the ' hot ' pilot was knocked clean on his arse by a well aimed right hook not saying that this is the way to deal with canopy arrogance but I reckon that this guy thought twice before he did it again flipper -

Seen them in use ... appear to be fairly high performance type canopy sorry no more info

I managed to jump a Delta II a few years back ... talk about a reality check ... take my hat off to the people who jumped these things ....

Can accept that I'm maybe doing the moving forward thing .... no probs with that Two other people have jumped it with the same result will have a play around with it at the weekend and see what happens

so far 20 jumps on the canopy from new and almost every opening has been of the rocking backwards and forwards type not real bothered with it ... my intension was to use the canopy for birdman jumps ... I do make sure that the slider in well presented when packing .... can try reducing its exposure during the opening by packing it into the pack job

Fairly standard snivel verging on slightly faster .... have jumped several other Spectres to see how they compared

Has anybody out there jumping a Spectre suffered from the following ... once the canopy has fully opened it starts to rock backwards and forwards ... feels as if it is going to stall on the backwards swing Canopy had done 20 jumps from new The canopy performs like this weather its loaded heavily ot lightly - ( 1.1 ~ 1.5 ) Not yet checked the trim ( will be done this weekend ) It has been jumped in various different containers to omit the container being the root cause any ides .... any help Thanks Flipper PS .. PD have been contacted ... was just wondering if anybody out there had suffered the same problem
