saftey seal jams reserve (non deployment)
flipper replied to i_like_to_fly's topic in Safety and Training
Same in the UK ... we tend not to seal them here ... Is it possible the wrong thread was used ? or ... Incorrectly routed ? -
I have my CX11 mounted in a neoprene sleave with the sleave between the cam and the mount ... use it for everything from freefly to base ... it dosnt move around ... no probs
-
Totally agree ... early versions were not the best .. also jumped some sub 100 proto versions that they had ... they were worse : (

what was the worst canopy youve ever jumped?
flipper replied to caspar's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Master main 425 ... hard openings that rock all over the place ... the toggles are only used for steering your way to the point of impact ... plain and simple a totally shit canopy -
+1

Quote***One of the guys are our DZ jumps a Sabre2 135 loaded ~1.2, when had a ride on his Airforce 140 reserve he hammered it in. He has 400 jumps total.reply] There are other possible reasons as to why he hammered it in other than the size of the canopy
-
I suspect this wont be the case

So when I leave the plane with the student do I have them in the tracking position then or do we leave in the normal position and then start to track ?

Can you share the data you base this statement on ?

''But it's no point arguing with these people on dropzone.com as I have noticed now, they're gonna defend their out of date opinion no matter what '' .. Your right Sangi .... arguin' with people on the net is pointless ... so here's what I can offer ... next time you are at the DZ I will be more than happy to explain / discuss ( I can show you three different tandem systems that we use ) the reason why you might not want to dick about with tandems in the way thats being discussed here Let me know when you are plannin on bein at the DZ Flipper

Hi I have both ... Velo 84 @ 2.3 and JVX 87 (fullsail)@ 2.2 I find that the Velo has better openings ... more chance of it staying mildly on heading where as the JVX is all over the place ... have found some improvement when deployin in a track .. Like Ian said the JVX is like an uber fast Stiletto ... its turned kinda low when compared to the Velo ... I have done a pile more jumps onthe Velo but aim to change that ... new line set for the JVX going on soon .. I can live with the opening ... no noprobs and adjusting turn heights is also not a hassle but the biggest difference I have foud is how the JVX needs constant harness imput to keep it on the chosen line ... I find the velo stays good with little input FR riser pressure on the JVX is heavier than the Velo .... on rears the JVX just ups and fucks off leavin the Velo for dead ... Just my opinon guys ... With you on that one ...

Has anyone asked why they want the waiver ? Any of the Redbull crew on here to answer some of the questions gettin asked ? My opinion .. The Redbull crew know there game and the jumps they are wanting to do would not be a problem to them ... We can get legal building / Crane jumps in Europe without hassle ... from an aircraft at a higher altitude its gonna be safer

Me either ... 8 so far
