Hi K, very cool vid ... one of the best I have seen ... Flipper

I also wonder if the modification will contribute to more landing injuries. Yes it will ... Just got a new harness with the mod ... tend to leave it as loose as possible ...
-
Jump the rig ... if the openings are not for you ... move on As most others have said there is nothing wrong with the SA1 ... just slightly different when compared to more modern canopies

Agree ... learn to walk

The cost of assembling my new gear.
flipper replied to skytramp2's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Dont see the difference between paying say $100 for assembly after you receive the new rig or you pay an extra 100 for assembly at the time you hand over the cash for the rig Personally - I'd either do it myself or have a rigger of my choice do it for me -
Do you notice change when downsizing rigs?

Question is, of anyone who finds this thread that has landed more than one type of reserve, what reserve landed the most like a main? ........ Smart 99 @ 1.8 .... Responsive ... good lift on landing Smart 110 @ 1.68 ... as above Tempo 150 @ 1.23 ... Slow (!) .. not much lift PDR 126@ 1.46 ... Flew well ... good lift on landing I am happiest with the Smart 99 or the PDR 126, fly real well and lots of power when needed hope this helps Flipper

Spinning Linetwists Malfunction Video
flipper replied to BrianSGermain's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Agree .. if it spins up and is diving ...I chop it ( 6 so far )... I'd rather go pick my main up from a field than have someone pick me up from lying in a field.... Dont agree with the fight it theme ... it might be ok if you have the ability to recognise that the situation is recoverable ( I certainly dont have that ability )but fucken deadly if you cant ... Flipper ... -
Too true ... pack em right and they are tip top canopies ... any canopy will slam you at some point ...

Higher wingloading = more stable in turbulance?
flipper replied to rhys's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Also prefer more loaded canopy inthe conditions that you described .... -
Same here .... ground control eyeballs all canopies opening and jumpers landing off ...
-
Take the stabilizers off ... dont hold onto no one ...

UK jumper was Dave Morris ...
