There is a program that will do this, I will try to remember what it was. It was freeware, I got it from download.com. I had to convert a handful of depreciation backup files from a local based software program, to a enterprise networked version. I ended up with an excel file with each backup name, that I used to check off uploads as I went. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Hypothetically if my future wife turns out to be a crazy cheating woman then I figure I can represent myself if she challenged the validity of our prenup in family court. What would I have to lose? If I don't fight to enforce it I would be stuck with a 50/50 split, alimony, and paying her legal fees. The courts in my state generally respect them, if they are reasonable, and if there was disclosure of the parties financial positions prior to the signing of the agreement. You can't spring them on a future spouse at the last minute forcing them to sign under duress. You can't have ridiculous items in there which cast the whole agreement in a negative light. You are going to court with or without it, might as well have one more thing on your side. I am following my states statutes on the subject, going to get legal advice, and an independent legal adviser for her as well. And then I am going to hope that I live happily ever after till death do us part. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

In my repeating traps they eat other mice... blech! I have a trap that will catch handfuls without being reset, it works on a wind up spring mechanism. Half the time it kills them while going through the motions, other times they all survive. If I don't get to the trap frequently the survivors will fight it out, and the last man standing eats everything in the trap. Again, blech. I won't get married without one, and my current fiancee knew that before we were even romantically involved. A relationship involves love, commitment, faithfulness. A marriage is a legal contract whose terms are dictated by state law... unless you make your own agreement. No one would start a business partnership with no agreements, and allow state law to completely guide the partnership. So why do we do this with marriage. Maybe that is unromantic, but I think it is niave to enter into a legal contract with no agreement between the parties. If you love each other, stay together, a marriage has nothing to do with people staying together. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

I used to think that it would work until we sponsored a booth at a local minor league hockey team this off season. We were giving out a free skydive to one person selected from those that filled out a card to get on the mailing list. And the name was being pulled at intermission, instant gratification. We were running a discount on packages during the same time frame that we were informing people about. We got some people who came over to look at the videos we were playing, many of them were of a fitness level that couldn't make a skydive! I also saw that many young men and women would see the booth and practically run away! The tough looking guys with the swagger did not appreciate us asking them if they ever thought about trying skydiving. My previous impression was that skydiving was viewed as most as an awesome activity, they just hadn't thought about it yet. I was going to be this reminder to them, and they were going to run over in droves to talk with the really cool skydivers. I think the reality is most people aren't interested, and won't be swayed by in person advertising. This are going to put their head down, and drag their girlfriend just a little faster, so they can avoid being put on the spot! I think your money is better spent elsewhere, trying to get customers who are already interested in skydiving. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

If you can find one, it will help a lot in finding the other. They should be in a line down the wind line on days where the uppers are in a consistent direction. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Should have asked on a vaping forum, dunno what you were expecting asking on here. I have had no trouble with vape gear on my person through TSA screening. I put juice in my checked bags, otherwise it is going to apply to the same TSA baggie rules. One small container of juice in a backpack won't get noticed though. Batteries are banned for more advanced devices from checked bags because they are lithiums, they go in the carry-on. I will normally limit myself to one device on my person, and pack the rest. Keep in mind a finicky device like KayFun is going to become a leaky device with the pressure change. I keep all atomizers like that dry for the trip, so I don't end up with a suitcase wet with ejuice! I get no hassles despite always opting out of the full body scanner. I own one now, I will have to report back after it gets some freefall and tunnel time. My initial observations are as follows: -Very comfortable. -Good visibility -Big enough to fit moderate size prescription eye glasses underneath the visor. -Super easy to open and close the visor. Feels very secure, at least on the ground. The latches at the front lock down the tension on the draw string that runs the entire skirt. The draw string is easily adjustable at the back of the helmet. At first I thought I goofed and needed an XL instead of a L as measured, but after a 5 minute adjustment it feels great. If you were in the US I would test it for you, but I wouldn't want to risk you having to risk losing it in shipment. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Hard Rear riser turn leads to spin
DougH replied to kvnhlstd's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Did you move from a larger canopy, or a more square planform? Maybe you are experiencing over steer. Certain canopies are more prone, generally speaking the more elliptical, the more oversteer. Same can generally be said about oversteer increasing as wing loading increases. Maybe you are instead experiencing an induced turn. Some canopies are just more sensitive to harness and riser inputs, especially with the brakes stowed. With my Mamba 104 it is critical that I am even in the harness, otherwise it is off to the races from the unintended harness input. Hard Rear riser turn leads to spin
DougH replied to kvnhlstd's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
If the brake lines are shrunk above and below the brake setting then the partial brakes applied by stowing the toggles could be even deeper. Combine that with a deep riser application one on side and you can be stalling out one side of the canopy. Said differently, if you have a fair amount of brakes being applied with toggles at full extension, then you are also going to have a deeper brake setting that engineered with the toggles set. How do you find your cut away canopy
DougH replied to Safelandings's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I use a version of this. When I have a cutaway, or see one on the load, I say to myself, "Iota land with that." So I do. Problem solved. Funny guy. In some parts of the US you don't have that option, especially if the canopy is going towards a large area of dense forest. Some places the general area is an out, and there are some obstacles. In other areas the general area is obstacles, and there are some viable outs. If it goes in to 50 acres of woods I can only land so close. I ordered an Iota home base and two trackers during their kick starter campaign. If they stay on pace they are supposed to be shipping in March. -
So it doesn't work for you, on tandem jumps. How exactly does that translate to the helmet not being safe? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
