    Beer or pot it is none of my business. If your doing it off working hours, and the residuals are gone and you are 100% the next morning then I don't see how it is my business.     You build confidence as you go. I don't think the idea is that you never push your limits. For me I go with my gut, if I feel uneasy about something, then my gut is probably right. There are conditions I feel much better jumping in now, that I would have sat down for before. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    Finally something we agree on. Landing on ice and snow this winter has humbled me at times. Landing on ice has to be my favorite, almost a guaranteed slide in on your ass tandem landing unless you get this just right. To the OP: Stick with the simple stuff first. Any balance problems you have now are going to be worse when you can't see you hands and you start to flare unevenly. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    You are right, besides the fact that it already opens slow, and that Aerodyne instructs you to pro pack it, there are no reasons not to psychopack it. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    Two more years of experince, I can agree with that. On the flip side the guy banging out 200 jumps in his first year has spent an awful amount of time on the DZ hanging out with experinced jumpers, the pilot, the student operation, and the DZO's.
