I make a list if I am cooking anything special... Otherwise I tend to get the same stuff each week. I don't need a list to remember I need ground beef, lunch meat, chiabata bread, etc. Then I add all the buy one get one, or 1/2 off impulse buys. I try to only buy chips and snacks when they are on sale. 75+ each week. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Ok, in that case... Being able to cook a nice meal has allways worked for me in the past. If you have a place that isn't a total shit hole invite her over and cook a favorite meal of her choice. A bottle or two of wine should be on hand.

A lot of "D" license holders seem to be killing themselves (and others) under canopy these days. Did two night jumps help them to "know their stuff"? Apparently not! Wouldn't a CRW requirement or advanced canopy requirement be far more useful and relevant? So add them, but keep the night jumper req. As a jumper who plans still being in the sport 500 jumps I don't care how many trials you put into the license req. I am going to complete them all. Aren't most licenses just that, at least indirectly? Drivers licenses give you the privledge to drive on public roads, but they also are a bit of a badge of honor for young drivers, no? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P -

For new jumpers the collegiate manual is nice as well, it has a bunch of two-way dives in it. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Thermals are your friend... winter nuemans and liners are nice too. But don't worry too much, it won't be too bad when it is 40 on the ground. When it gets to be about 15 on the ground it is a little uncomfortable. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

AFF.....to tip or not to tip??

I tipped my tandem instructor, I never tipped my AFF instructor. My AFF instructor is honestly family in my book, I don't think I would tip my father for taking me to the airport. Instead I have bought dinner, hung out, and tried to act like family in return. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P -
It is either the vista or the legend, I forget as I have both. It has two features useful under canopy, but I have yet to try them. One displays glide, the other displays glide needed to get to a certain way point. Of course it fails to take into account the extra 1000 feet needed to setup your pattern in order to behave in traffic and land safely into the wind. I might be able to offset a way point upwards by 1000 feet, but I haven't tried yet, "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Unless they are stamped, rated, and authentic I wouldn't jump it!! I have had bad experiences with graded metric bolts at the big box home improvement stores, I can only imagine similar problems with rigging materials!! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

I have been meaning to make a mount for my garmin, something that straps to my forearm. It has a mode that calculates glide.
