Your right Billy, whitetails around my neck of the woods get scary big. I totalled by first car on a big buck in NJ when I was 17. Hit it going about 80, it got up, shook it off and stared me down through the window, and then ran of to die in the woods. Pretty crazy shit! So does any one think a Wii would be a good family gift for my girlfriends two girls, ages 5 and 10? I noticed that a few were in stock at my local walmart, and that would eliminate my need to shop for a bunch of small stuff for them. Agreed. I would argue make registration more accessible, not easier in the sense you described. I typed easier but I was really trying to target accessibility. Sub accessible for easy and I bet we mostly agree. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

I think the vetting process should be registration. If you are too lazy or misinformed to register without being coddled you should stay a non voter. Make it easier for people to register on their own, make forms available in public buildings and allow registration by toll free phone so it is easy regardless of status, location, or physical mobility. Every one can get to a post office, or phone one way or another. And then the people that don't do it themselves can stay away from the polls. Outlaw the parties and special interest groups role in voter registration. Voting is a huge responsibility, people should be able to shoulder the task of registration all on their own. Call me crazy, but any time I feel strangely dizzy, or "tingly" I call a doctor instead of trying to get replies on the internet. I guess it could be hypoxia, or some blood sugar thing? The only time I have felt strange during a skydive has been on my high altitude jump and I was definitely hypoxic at the time. Edit: maybe in your quest to end the leg strap induced hard opening you have cut all the circulation off to your lower extremities? Recently had a wingsuit student with buckles not only reversed, but at opposite end of leg straps (friction lock/buckle beneath the butt, excess webbing going from butt to front of crotch). After asking the student about it, she explained the rig had been intentionally built that way for comfort. Would never have noticed it in the aircraft. Anyone else ever seen this? What seemed like a hard opening...leg straps

Sorry I don't buy it. Not having your legs straps tight enough will lead to bruises on old student gear with shot padding. It won't lead to a hard opening that hurts your back. If you want to explain the mechanism through which lose legstraps changes the way the canopy opens (aside from opening asymetrically) I will be all ears. Your canopy opened hard because of: how it was packed, the speed that you opened it, or just because. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P -
PLF ??? For a water landing ?? Maybe I'm ill-informed, but that sounds goofy. Makes sense to me, if the water depth is unknown. Or the stuff under the water is unknown. Not all water landings are planned and intentional.

That was one of my original thoughts as well. Blades laid out in lanes in the middle of a landing area are just inviting people to run them despite what ever you tell them. That was poor planning. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Looks like that pilot's main intention was running those gates. Is that the high performance area of that DZ? What are the rules regarding that area? I really don't know why you would want gates in the middle of a conventional landing area??? You need to look around 100X more under canopy. You picked what you thought was your landing spot and didn't so much glance to the side. I think the people at your dz need to get together and talk about the landing pattern. That easily could have been another double fatality canopy collision. All it would have taken was you being a little more to the left, and for the timing to be a little different. That guy needs a kick in the ass if he is busting the pattern to swoop the gates, after a high altitude load. Tell the reckless sob to go take a hop and pop. Verbal outlet Jimmy. Just a way for people to get rid of the disgust that they feel as a result of this terrible mistreatment of a young life. Obviously I don't really advocate any of the above to the perp. It was a harmless way for me to vent. Too bad that step mother didn't find some other outlet for her anger towards that young child. I would never hit a child, and I would take a beating to protect a woman. I feel free to type what ever I want on the internet though, it doesn't reflect how I treat others in real life. My credit card junk mail has fallen by about 80%. I have fair to good credit, so all the scared lenders are leaving me alone now. The only credit card junk I get now is from my existing credit cards companies who are wondering why I stopped using and started paying down all their cards. It reminded me a little of the xf2. Flat glide, less dive, short recovery arc. It opened nice but I like something a little more aggressive. I don't know how you fly but it is a fully eleptical canopy and I don't think it is really marketed to lower experince jumpers.
