  1. I don't know if the rant is that far off. Computer waste is a biotch. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  2. You don't need debt, you just need open accounts. The longer they are open, the better. If you close all of your accounts as you pay them you are reducing the average age of your accounts. Pay them off, don't use them but once a month and payoff in the same, and manage them to keep them open. If you can pay cash for a house or big investment, more power to you, but I can't so managing my FICO score translates to real dollars since it determines your interest rates. 3. Anyways, I agree leave it alone. It plays a role eating toads and other stuff. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  4. Haven't they continued to burn down girl's schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  5. No, it isn't... you dumb ass. The head is the wrong shape and the banding is wrong too. 6. Ding ding ding winner!!! Attention whores, and the plain old regular type abound. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  7. Yes I agree. Eastern hognose, I used to catch them in sleepaway camp as a young kid. They will pretend to be a rattler if they have leaves to rattle, they flatted their heads out to look threatening. They also puke out their guts, put out a huge stink, and play dead. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  8. They made the liner out of cornstarch and water?? Bad ass! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  9. I think it is more likely that a student will pull out of sequence using the one hand per handle method. I think it is less likely that a student will cut away with both hands and then two things will happen: one the rsl will fail to operate correctly, and the student will also be unable to find the reserve handle. Maybe I am wrong so I am eager to hear some senior instructors opinions!
  10. DOH! New XSi this past summer. But thats ok, I am really happy with the stills it has taken. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    FedEx

No, FedEx is saying that this bill would break their business model, so why should they bother buying more capital investments. If the workers don't like the working conditions at FedEx they should quit and find employment else where. The pay and conditions at FedEx must be acceptable to a majority of the individuals on the jobmarket. Why should the workers have the ability to force a company to pay more than what the market is demanding? This isn't for protecting workers, it is for extorting money from companies. 12. An audible may help, although that may also be a bad idea because you'll do like a lot of people and rely on IT only sometimes. That is a fantastic idea, he will definetly learn Altitude Awarness if he has something blaring in his ear that he can rely on! A midget on his back to pull on time would be an even better solution. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  13. How about providing us with a frame of refrence on your expertise on the skydiving skillset. So how many students have you trained? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  14. So you would agree that a majority of the human population lacks the capacity to be trained to deal with life or death situations? Why did you come to the conclusion that we are so special and above average. Do we have first jump courses because people showing up to skydive don't have any inherent ability that would allow us strap a rig on them and kick them out of a plane safely without training, or is it a consipiracy to take money from students who are already ready to jump? Do a vast majority of students who have completed a FJC freeze up in fear on their first jump? If most people are incapable of dealing with life or death situations why don't a majority of our students freak out and freeze up? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  15. You will note that I only addressed his comment that most people couldn't handle a life or death situation. Having the capacity to skydive, and having the interest, desire, or means to do so are two seperate issues. Just my opinion.
  16. Says who? That is your ego talking! You were trained from jump one to handle emergencies using tried and true training methods. You don't have any special qualities that you were born with that the overal population lacks. The only real difference between you and joe blow whuffo is you want to spend a large percentage of your time and money jumping, and he doesn't give a damn.
  17. Did you forget to attatch a picture? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  18. Well that too, but it wasn't very note worthy in light of my test result. You can borrow it if you want, it would probably look good on the mantel, next to your 2008 Landing Pattern award. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  19. I just got my score back for my first section of the CPA exam. I passed with an 82. I am stoked because I didn't study as much as I wanted to due to work, and the exam had a lot of new material. Pass / fail, and I passed!!! So one down and three more to go.
  20. You suck. I am sitting inside studying my CPA review material. I would like to propose a trade. You can keep the board shorts though, I want to gawk at the bikini bottoms. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  21. That is an off the wall comment. They offer a great value and great flying characterstics for a newer jumper. If I was give the choice to jump an older Saber I, or a Hornet for the rest of my jumps I would pick the Hornet any day. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  22. The credit card companies must think we are stupid, well maybe we are. I get an email once a month to activate some stupid payment protector program on my credit card that will let you put payments on hold if you run into trouble. .85 cents a month for each 100 dollar balance. Lets assume for simplicity sake that I only have a 100 dollar balance, and I will have that for the entire year. .85*12= 10.2 So it will cost me 10 dollars for the whole year if I average a 100 dollar balance each month. 10.2 / 100= .102... You want to charge me an additional 10% APR for the chance down the road that you will let me slide for a few months and defer a few payments? Are you out of your mind? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  23. I have to raise the BS flag!! This is a dangerous sport and people should know to ask questions when encountering new things. A new DZ, a new plane, a new body position, a new discipline... you should be asking questions for any of these things. Identify the relevant information, the dangers, the rules and procedures for that specific dz, etc. That is the responsibility of every jumper that isn't a student. 75 jumps doesn't equate to ten years old! Just because manifest didn't spoon feed her the information doesn't mean it wasn't available if she had simply asked for it. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  24. :::snicker::: Awesome video! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  25. If I am ever within a few hundred miles of your DZ I will make sure I stop by and make a few jumps. Many kudos and a lot of respect Mr. Mullins!
