If so many people on this website recognize the stupidity and danger of PC, how and why does it continue to exist? That's assuming that we are a solid cross section of society.

I guess that I can be thankful that you are not sitting in the judgment seat. -
Does your rule apply to any subject?

I wonder how many opponents of the death penalty have a problem with destroying the life of an unborn child using the same method. As I recall, saline solution was a pretty popular method of killing the fetus. How does that hypocritic oath go? -

Some of us actually recognize our foibles. Others think that they are so superior that they no need for redemption. -
One of the best things that we could do in the US is get rid of the child labor laws. By the time that they are 16 yr. old there are a lot of lazy habits and attitudes that are really hard to break. When I was twelve, I was working 11 hr. days doing farm labor. It never damaged me, as far as I can tell.

Maybe I'm a sick bastard, but I think that a person should die in the same way that they chose to take someone else's life, only more slowly. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The natural man is still alive. Theives and liars can come to Christ. It doesn't mean that the old nature just goes away. -

You give them the resourses that they need[ basic education, if that is called for] and watch them closely. If they choose not to move toward reentering society by society's standard, then consider them beyond help. You have to draw a line somewhere. -
May be after that much alcohol you are dehydrated and your heart is trying to push sludge through those arteries.

There might be some charismatic churches where you could pull it off and they'd never know the difference.

Had he confessed to the crime instead of hoping to beat the system, he would have spent the rest of his time in prison, or not. In today's feel good society, someone might have felt sorry for him and allowed him out on parole. As for his time on death row, the clock simply ran out on his opportunities for appeals. As for the botched execution, I doubt that he suffered. There are people everyday who take lower doses of some of those drugs just for a buzz. Besides, If he actually committed the crime, who should give a damned that he suffered for thirty minutes. Maybe I'm a sick bastard, but I think that a person should die in the same way that they chose to take someone else's life, only more slowly. -

We are a representative republic. Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner.

>It wouldn't matter if every Christian was a total doormat, we'd >still hear the same BS from unbelievers. Oh, I think that if buddhists were as aggressive as some christians, you'd hear everyone complaining about them, too. But since they tend to not evangelize, people don't get as riled at them. I'm a christian, and I get annoyed at some of the more fervent christians telling people that this guy and that woman are going to hell. Certainly not all christians do that, but a very vocal minority do. QuoteIt's not the people that ticks off the unbelievers, it's the message. Telling someone that they will never be good enough on their own to make the grade just doesn't set well with most people. Christianity is the only religion that make this claim.

What is the scariest part of the skydive for you?

I bought a new Hitachi framing nailer about 3 yr. ago. The thing cycles very quickly. I was installing blocking for a T&G ceiling. While holding the block with one hand, I was nailing the block with the other. The recoil caused it to bounce and fire a second time sending a 12d nail right through my thumb. Luckily, it didn't hit the bone. My brother was standing there watching the whole thing. I slapped the gun between my legs, cursed, and snatched the nail out.

Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That doesn't make it any more credible. The quality of the writing has nothing to do with the intelectual content. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's BS. Can you spell intellectual? Proper spelling, punctuation, and sentence formation doesn't just happen. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The ability to put something in writing so that it can be understood by others speaks to one's intellect. -
This guy gets much respect from me(looong, I go off on a crazy rant!)

In this country they're becoming one of those sensitive minorities. We are supposed to accomodate their willful laziness. We can't blame it on genetics beacause thirty yrs. ago I don't remember there being very many fat people.
