  1. When they let that one guy complete "Unchained Melody" it was the longest three minutes of my life. Here's a thought. Maybe they should install a shower on stage so that some of these people wouldn't be so nervous.
  2. : Re: [masterrig] What state could we do away with and why? by karenmeal Post: We tried it once, and the Yankees got all up in arms about it.
  3. He's been propped up by others all of his life, so why not a little longer.
  4. I have a separated right shoulder and a partially separated left shoulder. If I do anything that over exercises them, it acts kind of like carpal tunnel syndrome, and my hands will go numb during sleep.
  5. I still say that we should form a ten or twenty mile wide "no man's land" along all of the vulnerable borders and give our Navy and Air Force pilots something to do in their spare time. They have to keep up their hours, anyway. Anything that moves in that zone gets destroyed. After awhile the current insurgents will simply run out of ammo.
  6. I say go for it. You'll kick yourself if you don't. Your body will be up to the task and the brain should follow. IMHO
  7. Maybe they should have smashed his thumb with a hammer to take his mind of the other pain.
  8. So, who is standing in the way of any individual from reaching their life's goal, and how many generations do you have to give them a free kick?
  9. I've not lost one minute of sleep, one day of work, or fun since Bush became president. How did he ruin your life?
  10. When I was 12yr. old, a couple of friends and I were playing pirates in the barnloft with the trapdoors open. During swordfighting, I was driven backwards and fell 9 ft. onto the concrete floor on my back. Who knows?
  11. First stop the rhetoric about "Victory" it's not about that anymore & it just fuels the insurgency. The U.S. and coalition forces deposed a dictator and removed a brutal regime- be happy with that. Just because you obviously despise Bush, you want him to apologize to one of the most corrupt, inept, and useless organizations on earth. That's what I call a real patriot.
  12. You oughta have your own TV program, but then, people like you wouldn't be watching it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13. I'll say that it's probably the tenderloin, just like the rest of the mammals. Any cheap red wine will work with it.
  14. Both of those boys were two of the lucky ones. I can't wait to hear the oldest boy's story.
  15. I had another thought on the matter, but unfortunately it involves Congress. I suggest that we immediately implement a war tax to pay for this fiasco. The amount should be easy enough to figure considering that Bush has kept most of it off budget using "emergency" supplemental requests. Secondly, and this is an old idea, we take the DoD off budget and fund it like we do Social Security. Maybe we could start by holding the govt. accountable for my retirement money.
  16. And I do want someone to speak for me - congress. I voted for them and my taxes pay them, and they are not doing their job. Your side is doing exactly what it's been doing for years. If Bush says it's white, they say it's black. Every time that he tries to make the machine run more smoothly, they come along and throw sand in the gears.
  17. I thought that you Brits pride yourselves on a good sense of humour[just for you]. Can't you recognize a good natured chain yank?
  18. Hey, I resemble that remark!
  19. Be careful. My brother got greedy over a car that was underpriced, and found out that it had been sold several times, and never left the driveway. He never got the car, and lost a chunk of money.
  20. >I could build a 1,000 sq.ft. house by myself in about 8 months. If the govt. is willing to supplement my money supply for a period of time, enough to buy tools and food, and those FEMA trailers are not pieces of garbage, I should be able to step up to the plate and get busy. I believe that back in the day, they called it a grubstake. If you multiply that by thousands, there's really little excuse for being where you were at 18 months ago. Admittedly, the concept of community would go a long way toward solving the problem.
  21. I listen to Neal Boortz all of the time, and he has put a lot of thought into the idea. I want it just so that I don't have to stand there with that "deer in the headlights" feeling, three weeks out of every year. God, I hate income tax.
  22. In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do believe we are in the end time too though. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The whole concept of time insinuates a beginning and an end.
  23. Generally, people who live in cold climates stay prepared for emergencies. The cold can kill you in short order if you're not prepared for it.
