Me, Royd. Who is the 3rd supposed right wingers? Looking at the search results for smarmy, it is fairly obvious I use it on a semi-regular basis. I actually looked the word up in Wikepedia to see if it was a real word because it wasn't in my old set of dictionaries. The definition of the word describes her to a "t". I would also dare to call her dowdy. She's just smarmy enough to hide it.

I totally agree. These are the same people who would tip over the king in the middle of the game just because they're down a couple of pieces. It's just too much work to actually think up a better plan. I have often wondered what has happened to the"never say die" mentality.

The problem here is that it is a downhill slide to total govt. control. You say 5 yr. old, someone else says 7 yr. old. Well, when they are old enough to smack you in the mouth and tell that they are taking the car for the evening, knowing damned well that you can't do a thing about it, because the law is on their side, it'll be to late. The next thing is that you won't be able to raise your voice to them because it might damage their fragile egos. I believe the Democratic party just loves the introduction of anarchy into society. Not that they could actually deal with the end results.

I have a sister who bought into that mentality when she adopted two children in the late '80's. Instead of dealing with a situation and being done with it, she turned into an overstressed screamer, but she didn't hit the kids.

In another thread someone provided a link showing that Department of Defense spending was less than Health and Human Services spending. Military spending is part of the problem, but it is not the problem. ... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I recall, when we first went to Iraq, the cry was that we were under armoured. Personally, I think that we should be ready to roll with fierceness, at a moment's notice. We shouldn't have to wait two years to uparmour and get our ducks in a row.

Where's all of that faith in the evolutionary process? Are we so selfish that we just want to preserve our convenient lifestyles as they stand? Maybe mother nature is fixing to have a major housecleaning and we can't do a thing about it. -

Tandems, Hurting or helping membership?

In remembering the sensory overload of the first couple of AFF jumps, when I talk to someone who has never jumped,I tell them to do a tandem just to get a handle on the feeling of freefall. There's a lot happening on AFF1 and I wouldn't want that to be my first experience. -
In reality, yes. From the feminist point of veiw, it isn't a human being until after it is sqalling in the doctor's arms. Why take any extra pains that stand in the way of convieneince, in order to increase the chance of a healthy child.

Why would anyone in their right mind intentionally lessen the chance of the continuation of a family line? Extenuating curcumstances aside, it would be like having your children fixed so that they couldn't reproduce.
