    But somehow, the general attitude of the populace speaks for itself. If my property were torn up by a hurricane or tornado, and the govt. were willing to provide me with food and shelter, I wouldn't be sitting on my ass waiting for the next hand out. I would get my tools, and get to work, tearing things apart to the point that I could put it back together. How much potential manpower has sat in a hotel for as long as possible, drawing a govt. handout, because they felt like they deserved it, and then complained when the money was shut off. These people could have pooled their money, talent and energy, and been well on their way to recovery by now. I could build a 1,000 sq.ft. house by myself in about 8 months.

    Who would be bitching if we pulled all military resources back within our borders and developed a "world be damned" attitude? Personally, I think it would be a great thing to do just to watch all of the hypocritcal, cry babies throw a tantrum.

    Not necessarilly hardwood, but solid wood. Pine is popular here in the South. Laminates look good, but if it gets scarred, you'll be lucky if you can refinish it. I like tile, as long as it isn't some boring, beigey looking color. Carpet just gets nasty.

With your posts, you are doing one of two things. You are either proving the Christians right that the knowledge of God tends to instill morals in one's life, or you're giving all of those self righteous atheists a bad name.

    Your argument is basically "Everything except god must have a cause" because that's the only way you can get round your infinite regression problem. If this argument is valid then it must also be valid to say "Everything except the Universe must have a cause". If you're saying that God must be timeless, then you are on the right track. If there is a creation, there must be a creator, which has a creator, which has a creator, and on and on. There is a huge mess on my desk. I was the creator of that mess. As much, for the sake of laziness, I would like to buy into your theory that everything came into existance on its own, out of nothing, and put itself into a perfect working order, the top of my desk proves otherwise.

    Once again, if I hear that I am in a dangerous situation, but refuse to extricate myself from it simply because other people haven't heard about, I deserve my fate, especially if I think that the message is BS. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All dangers, even in the natural world are not visible. Look at the indifference of the world in general to AIDS. Regardless of actually seeing the final results, and the fact that by exercising caution and self control, the problem could be solved in one generation we just don't want to be bothered. It's just too much effort. Unbelievers think that Jesus should come back and hang himself back on the cross just for them. The sacrifice was once and for all. Just recieve it. It's that simple.

Sexist has become one of those pc dirty words. The problem is that men don't mind women being women. They kind of like it. Women only want a man to be a man when the tire needs to be changed. The rest of the time they are trying to change him into something he is not. As for women in combat, regardless of the sexual attraction to any given female, I would still have a tendency to think of them as a little sister, regardless of their skill. Injury or death can come in an instant, and it is our inate instinct to watch out for them. As for their ability to do the job, if they can make the grade without adjusting the requirements, I say, go for it. I do believe that there will be a societal backlash in a few years when some of these women start dealing with post traumatic stress.

They want to do whatever it is that they do without any interference from men, probably because the presence of a man will put a serious damper on their party. That's sexist. Oprah Winfrey's new school for girls in South Africa is sexist. Fraternities and sororities are sexist. The truth is that women get offended when we treat them as one of the boys. "Shut the hell up. you've already said you 2,000 word quota for the day." Yea, that would really go over, wouldn't it?
