I love canopy flight. I'm always sorry to see it end. I love being up there all by myself enjoying the ride and the scenery. I've always loved being as far off the ground as possible. I've never quite understood why everybody is in such a big hurry to get to the ground. You've payed for the skydive, so why not make it last as long as possible. If I had my way I'd be doing hop and pops at 10,000 almost every time. This is not to say that I don't like freefall. I just like the dive to last as long as possible. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.

Imagine being in the same pod with 30 or 40 other guys overcrowded, people yelling, complaining. and generally being pissed off cuz they are there, Drinking shitty coffee and being fed beans 3 days in a row in different forms with open air toilets, everybody farting and burping and making the whole place smell like a sewer. Being fed shitty food in general all the time. Watching COPS and true stories of the highway patrol (really) on the tube. I couldn't believe this is what they wanted to watch. Punk ass kids who think they are badass until you put them in their place. Junkies, drunks, you name it. I spent a week doing this and I swear I will never do anything to end up there again. I have friends that have done extended periods in county and city jails and also prison time. They have all said that if you have to spend extended periods of time its better to do it in prison because you do have more freedom.... Being able to work, and exercise and just being able to recreate to some extent where as in county or city you are very confined. Don't get me wrong about all this, jail is not supposed to be fun. I did the crime and I did the time. Hope I never have to go do it again. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.

Seems to me that 9 out of 10 people I know have back probs of one form or another including me. The way I see it is my back is going to hurt whether I jump or not. Last Friday I sold my Harley. This is the first time since I was 12 yrs. old that I haven't owned a motorcycle. I sold it to complete a down payment on a new house. I actually had tears in my eyes when the guy rode it out of my driveway. I've been riding Harleys for 22 yrs now. I never thought that I'd see that day come. Oh well I guess it all happens for a reason and this is a good reason, and since I started jumping I haven't really rode much at all. But it still hurts. I feel for you man. That sucks. I know how it feels. A few yrs. ago my next door neighbors son broke into our house 3 times. We knew it was him but couldn't really prove it. The last time was the final straw. I had the little S.O.B. backed over his car with my fist cocked back just ready to drill him when my wife caught my arm and reminded me that he was only 17. Had a major blow out with his parents and within the month they moved out. They wouldn't believe that their delinqent son would do that. Even though they had both done time themselves. Kinda funny that we never had that problem before they moved in and have never had the problem since they moved out. Hmmmm. I also at that time found out just how easy it was to get in my house without a key. Not that easy anymore. Deadbolts work quite well. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.

Thats just a guess. She has people collect them for her all over the world. She has racks and racks. Funny thing is it wasn't her idea to strat collecting them. I think I started it over 20 yrs. ago whenI was in the Air Force and started sending them from wherever I went. Then everybody else seen the beginning of it and started building the collection from there. Keep plugging away and before you know it you will have more than you want. You are right. You just have to be ready to do it. One plus out of many is look at all the money you can save for jumping. 1 pack a day at $4.00 a pack= $1460.00 a yr. 1 pack a day = 7300 cigs a yr. Thats if you smoke only a pack a day. I did 1 1/2 to 2 packs a day. And just wait till your sense of smell gets keener. you will smell a smoker a mile away and will realize that you smelled like that. I remember that when I was down to half a pack I was running to the store because of the fear of running out. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
