    Start work at 6:00 a.m. monday at Northrup(spelling?) Grumman Newport News working on CVN 69(Dwight D. Eisenhower)(GOOD NO.)Humm,worked on the drawings for that carrier back in 94.Gonna get me a hat this time.Look forward to making more jumps come spring time!(Yahoo!)

    OK,sorry about that.I think what I meant to say was they used to list "Continuous Member Since" Dates.Was a little impatient about the process.Anyway,I started jumping in Aug. 1975.Let my membership lapse while I was going to college(money tight).Still made wind dummy jumps at VPC meets and learned judging from Carol Clay and Bruce Little to name just a few.Have tried to pass on some of what I learned from time to time.Rejoined and became a lifer in 1990.To make a long story short they sent me my card with 25 years on it.Guess this means I get another piece of paper?Have been real reflective this weekend.Mostly about the friends who are not here anymore.Blue ones,later.

    Okay,here is the poop and just the poop.Been a member of uspa for going on better than 25 years.In Dec. they sent me my lifetime renewal form which stated I had been a continuous member for 22 years.Funny,the card sent(2002)listed me a member for 23 years.Okay,so I made copies of everything and sent it off.Please update my membership in the computer to read 24 years(2003).Makes sense right?Anyway,have written,called(voice mail),e-mailed and no response.They used to list years of membership directly on the card.Humm,somebody must have decieded that made too much sense and stopped doing it!Argh!Now,it wouldn,t bother me so much,except,I,m approaching 25 years(2004).Any help,Ideas on how to proceed without really pissing USPA off again!Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Started out to be Canopy until I made my first 60 second Freefall out of a Skyvan.Up till then I had not gone past 29 seconds!Was big time hooked on both after that jump.Tried to learn as much about flying whatever parachute I was jumping at the time as well as do as many RW jumps as I could afford,borrow and sell stuff for.Those were the days when you(I),we,eat,sleep,all we think about is jumping!Wish I could get that back somehow sometimes.Thanks for asking.

    The blind jumps I made at the herd Boogie in the late 70,s come to mind.Anyway,needed to have a spare pair of glasses and "Did Not".Jumped as base lead in a 4-Way Diamond launched out of a Skyvan.Everything was cool till the last jump we made.Formation funneled around me and I got kicked in the face by somebody.Could barely see and then moisture in my eyes form the impact with the foot.Freefell longer than usual to make sure I was clear of everybody else.Short Canopy ride.Opened somewhere between 1,200 and a 1,000.Didn,t feel the need to jump anymore after that 1.(lol)

    Is that a hospital injury?My last hook turn was a bruised kidney.2 soft butt strikes also happened over a period of about 10 years.i,D SAY THAT WAS PRETTY GOOD?Still.I have never hooked my present canopy or any "Jedei" for that matter.Made the choice to stop what might hurt me worse.

    You are not alone in this.Work along with home pressures can easily overwhelm us!Mine manifests itself(my stress)in my lack of ability to get the proper sleep I need .Anywhere from an average of 2.5 hrs to 4 hrs of sleep a night.It seems work gets all my best(or best I can muster)effort while my personal life at home with my GF really suffers.If you find the answer please let me know.

    I have 2 A.A.S. Degrees.Drafting and Design Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology.Have never really been convinced that I should get a B.S. in Engineering.Would have to do 3 very tough years of serious study to do it.Yikes!

    I return to mine every few years.Been here about a year now and have an exciting 4 jumps there.Oh Well,have other things that need doing more.(my GF)(lol)
