No, actually I'm not exactly saying anything. I was asking for clarification because I wanted to understand the reasoning behind not using an altimeter. I was in no way attacking anything or anybody, just asking for an explanation. Personally, I think it's smart to ask questions when you don't understand something.

Yes, what's up with that? No one has addressed the very valid questions/points made by previous posters as to how they set up their landing pattern and how do they come up with a hard deck for EP's without an alti? How can it be too overwhelming to teach a student altitude awareness when it is such a basic necessity for safety? And if AFF students can handle reading an altimeter from jump one, why not a S/L student? Or am I missing something really obvious?

I know, I'm stupid...but I miss my kitties. They're staying with "dad" because I was out of town for a few days and I'm leaving again on Friday. But annoying as they can be, I really miss them!!! No fuzzy lovers on my bed or following me around asking for cuddles. What is it with these damn pets? They steal your heart before you even know it!!!!!!

Advice from men....they have no idea sometimes! Driving to remote drop zones alone-you need a reliable vehicle. Don't wait for the problems to occur before you replace because you've no idea when and where they may occur. Go for a newer car...you deserve it!!!
