You know, I hadn't really thought about it that way. But you are exactly right, and I think you deserve a for the best answer. If someone told me that, I would in no way feel as if I were being come on to.

Nothing happened!! I swear!! I made what I thought was a very random post very late at night and then forgot I'd even started the thread. It's just taken on a very interesting life of its own. But we can certainly continue to fantasize about some precipitating event if you'd like......

I think squarecanopy was kidding as well..at least a little. Thanks for attesting to the fact that I'm not completely hideous, Bill. (Even tho I've subjected you to my skydiving face). It's the difference between the cultures. That would have hurt my feelings if I hadn't had conversations with Scoop in which he was actually nice to me.

I don't know. I had never heard of a minger until Scoop said I was one. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I think of Scoop.

Well, to me, that's not really involving trust. My point is don't make yourself vulnerable (financially, physically, emotionally, etc) to someone until you know them well enough to make a reasonable judgement that they're not going to take advantage. I agree with you and Turtle about it being various levels of trust, however.

Actually, it's not that deep. My point is that I believe it's wiser to not give yor trust to another person until you know them well enough to make an educated judgement of their character.
