  1. Actually, it's not gender specific. I'm an equal opportunity dis-truster.
  2. Probably 'cause I'm a minger.
  3. Hey Scoop don't take it out on me cause you can't get anyone to deflower you....
  4. Ok, there's a random thread to wake up to! Thanks! It's my daughter's doing. Fun with hairspray, you know. Next time I want the spikes to be pink.
  5. It's good that being honest is important to you. It is to me as well. But experience teaches you that not everyone is honest, and even honest people aren't honest all of the time. As for your reference earlier, about how you never really know for sure...that's true. Which is why it is called trust. At some point you do have to let go and trust, and hope that it is not betrayed. If we had a magic way to know when we would and wouldn't get betrayed, there'd be no need for trust. There's no way to make sure you don't get burned. It's a given. But I've found for me, I am burned less often if I am more cautious initially.
  6. *Tisk, tisk, tisk.* You do REMEMBER what it is that I do for a living? Okay, seriously, I consider that a real privilege and I will do my best to live up to the compliment. It goes both ways, too. It has to. YOU KNOW FAR TOO MUCH! As do you. And next time I see you, I have more to tell.
  7. Not at all. It just limits access by those who are not ethical or honest. I didn't say I refuse to associate with people I don't trust completely. I simply try not to put myself in precarious situations if I don't know someone well. That's not to say I haven't made exceptions. Jennr8r mentioned a time earlier in this thread, and ask Bolas some time about his adventure in Denver this winter!! I'm not a complete bitch, I just try to be careful.

    Knocked Up!

But oh my god, it's rated R for good reason!!! I'm not talking just throwing out the F word a couple of times. It's not what I would call a good first date movie, and definately not for young kids. (I know, duh).
  9. LOL!! I really posted this because of a private conversation I was having with someone. There are many people I do trust. But I don't give someone my 100% trust until I get to know them. And even then, I have just a couple of very good friends that I would trust completely. Well, maybe a couple more than a couple. The point I didn't make, but should of, is that people online should not be offended if you don't 100% trust them, if you have never met and gotten to know them in person. It doesn't mean you're not trustworthy, it's just that it's probably a good idea to take some time in determining that. Nice discussion that blossomed tho. ANd Jewels, I do trust you 100%. And the rest of our little crew. I got extremely lucky having you all pop into my life at the same time. And lucky that ya'll let me hang with ya!!
  10. Theres no sky in the tunnel. So how is that safe skydiving?
  11. Good. Then I assume you wont be offended when i dont trust you.
  12. Discuss. As a woman, I think it's a pretty damned good idea. Anyone else have an opinion?
  13. Yeah, ummm, that thing called sex? Hmm... not sure what that is.. Hang on, I'm going to go google it.....

If you don't care what anyone else thinks, why do you feel the need to make a statement?!!! You know you care what I think.....I'm very special, right?
  16. [reply i'm sorry, I think we deserve a spanking.
  17. You know, I know, and YOU know someone who lives locally and would probably do anything to help a friend out. Call him.
  18. It took me a minute to get that, so I'm sure she won't. WTF is that supposed to mean? I was about to give you points for the best response, but now you both fail.
  19. Well, the warmed tub sounds appealing.....but maybe something a little less sweet than Kahlua?
  20. You should study the advancements that have been made in prosthetic limbs ... he most definitely has a mechanical advantage. Edit: I shouldn't say "he most definitely" because I don't know what type of prosthetic limb he has. Well, being a physical therapist assistant, I'm a little bit familiar with prosthetics, as well as length/tension ratio, the effects of a longer lever, etc. But I'm certainly no expert. I think Gawain's done a pretty good job of explaining advantage vs disadvantage, and since he has real life experience, he's definately the resident expert. Thanks for you contribution Gawain; this article immediately made me think of you and I was hoping for your take on things.
