  1. I pulled mine really tight, then ran a velcro strap through it and the frame. Even if the lid falls off, that camera isn't going anywhere. http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
  2. Hey, I've always used a very high speed to do the cutting (don't breathe in), and laviously covered with many layers of clear nail polish. Also, every once in a while, I recover the nail polish. Blue ones, Curt http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
  3. My guess is that one of the DZ's will be leaving within th eyear. Any guesses on which one??? http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
  4. When I land "where I stand" I set my breaks, unstow my slider and I'm ready to pack. Be careful when you are stowing your brakes, that your "landing area" isn't being needed by someone else. Wouldn't it be prudent, and just plain considerate to move off to the side of the landing area BEFORE stowing brakes? (Some landing areas are used by many canopy pilots at one time, including tandem pilots who land later)...Just something to think about. http://www.curtisglennphotography.com

    Paris....

hmmm, gotta plan more ahead if you want me to play! I've gotta work on Sun for the Wallace Skydive School. Sorry you won't have my cute face to look at during the jumps! Curt http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
  6. Drogue phobia is a good thing to have. While shooting a tandem video NEVER be above the drogue no matter what! Practice is what will make you better, start very slow, and work yourself in close, especially since you're not selling at this point. Never interfere with the tandem master at any time, and always try to be just below the passenger's horizon, that way you will get a great shot. In time, you will get it, and shooting videos of first jumps will become VERY rewarding. I absolutely love shooting tandam videos. The expressions they have have made me laugh in freefall. Enjoy, and above all---BE SAFE! http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
  7. It was a fun day for me too. I got to shoot the video for the pretty blonde gal, she was the producer. It was nice being part of this event and I look forward to the next event. http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
  8. Sure did! Thanks. http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
  9. You're assuming of course, the 4-way has one mind, and not 3 or 4 with separate issues and agendas for self promotion and personal glory. BTW, it's helpful when all 4 members have the same rhythm on exit. As you know or may have heard, they can be difficult at times. (hehe) http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
  10. Chin down for me. Why would I like to encourage an entanglement with a line that has decided to go another way and hurt me, when I can tuck my chin down, hopefully have a smooth opening, and then look back up for the check. We've lost too many people due to line wrap problems. My suggestion, look down, get an open canopy, then look up. The opening shot isn't worth it. http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
  11. Just get a bonehead D-box for the vids. It's worth the money. Have a Strobo for my 35mm. They're both quick, easy and look good in pics!
  12. looking for 100ASA...let me know
  13. I'm thinking along the lines as CANehDIAN, you only have 60 jumps listed. If that's all the jumps you have, I'd reconsider for about 100 jumps. As is probably is right now, your flying abilities might equal....well never mind, but PLEASE think about what you're contemplating. Jumping a camera is another hazard in an already dangerous sport, and most of us have been at it awhile. BE PATIENT! Learn how to fly, and get out of trouble before you add another factor into skydiving. I'm sure you want to be around for a L O N G while and there really is NO need to push things. Things shall come to those who wait, and sometimes the wait is a good thing!
  14. well, ok, then. Send them home.
  15. come and go! (in that order, please!)

I'll be there! Curt cameraman for Team "In First Place"
  18. I have a Matrox card and it's GREAT! It's 2D and works well with just about everything. As far as memory goes....PUMP it with everything you can get into it. The more memory you have, the more you can do with video and still work. Trust me, you can never have enough memory.....well, maybe I can. (1GIG) just for video. Have fun, and be creative!
  19. Hey, good question. Many video peeps and myself went with shooting videos first, then adding the SLR later. For me, the easiest was to mount the SLR to the video sight. It's not hard, just check and double check when aligning and drilling to the bracket. Best of luck to you. BE safe.
  20. You did one of those "tent scenes?!?"
  21. Nah, I believe that the "wuffo" speech is clearly made in "REDLINE"S speech in the greatest skydive movie ever put together with duct tape and tape ends "Cutaway".

Practice, Practice, Practice. I had trouble figuring them out also, BUT I did in a very short time. DOn't panic, just learn where your feet are.
  23. Yep, he's still around and one of the nicest guys I know. In addition to the Elsinore stuff he shoots, he's also working on 4 way stuff. :c) (competition at Elsinore SSL)
  24. 0:6:3 Gotta love Perris Valley's 4 way camp. If ya need help with 4-way, we've got some of the best instructors around. Check the Perris Valley web site for dates.
