My boss is a DUMBASS, and he runs a school. Why do our children do so poorly? It's because of dumbasses like him. http://www.curtisglennphotography.com

no, using a filter for most diving action causes to much interference. Your camera should be able to to "special effects" by itself. Just look at the programming area. http://www.curtisglennphotography.com

Methinks skydiving will be cheaper, and you won't have to sit next to chain smoking 70 year old ladies. But why deprive yourself of Homer's sister-in-laws' company? Just watch out for the professional chain smokin' old lady (she the one with the gloves on!) http://www.curtisglennphotography.com

but this plate doesnt have one of those nice locking systems.. I'm wodering why you didn't look at the Stroboframe release system? It locks tight and works well. Check out Conceptus. http://www.curtisglennphotography.com -

4oo jumps for me. http://www.curtisglennphotography.com -
Although I'm making a generalized assuption, Canon is one of the more popular still packages used in skydiving. It's simple, lightweight, and easy to use. I might suggest a 28mm lens for tandems, a polarizer and a plain cap for protection. Best of luck! http://www.curtisglennphotography.com

Due the the recent events at Perris, I'm feeling compelled to say something about safety. As a fellow skydiver, and camera flyer, I'm asking all of you to "keep your eyes open and your head on a swival" when under an open canopy. I've seen too many times, a skydiver concentrating on landing and not seeing an event around them develope into a potentially dangerous situation. As a camera flyer, I usually open a bit higher for safety reasons with a camera, and I tend to take a bit longer to "pop" the brakes, just to let everyone land (who's in a hurry) and give me more room in which to fly. It occurred to me that the skydive really isn't over until we have set our gear down for packing. Some might argue that it is over when the high-fives are being passed around, but what about the rest of the group that is still trying to land? We need to land, and get out of the way ASAP, so that we don't get landed upon, OR cause injury to another group, or tandem. I say this, because usually the high-fives are done in the landing area--where people are still tring to land! Next, as we have at Perris, a runway to cross. We land safely, high five and cross the runway only to potentially get mowed because we weren't paying attention. The familiar whoo-whoo of the siren reminds us that there are airplanes around and they are moving. All I'm asking is that everyone keep your eyes moving while enjoying a great sport, and keep your brains involved in what you're doing so that accidents that claim so many members of our "family" are reduced. To Shannon and Bob, We will learn, we will remember, and we will honor. Curt http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
