Oh yeah, before I forget, loved the 'groupie' shop in Coronado selling all the t-shirts. Funny as fuck. -
Not in here much this is PISSING ME OFF!
vortexring replied to freeflir29's topic in Speakers Corner
This I expect to go down like a concrete parachute, but fuck it: Why do so many U.S. Special Forces feel the need to tell everyone? Over here, and in most other countries, publicly anouncing their profession would result in their dismissal from the regiment/unit. Any guesses why? Reckon this is a troll post? Not really. It just pisses me off. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.' -
Theres no way the IRA (Any strand of) are soldiers, they're terrorists/criminals. They don't wear uniforms, they activly target soft civvy targets with the intention of using terror to gain their objectives. They intimidate, attack and subjegate their own people to ensure their co-operation. They run the drugs, the protection rackets, the prostitution and fuel smuggling. They are terrorists just as the UVF, UFF and others are. There is no 'good guys' in the NI paramillitary world on either side. Mate, relax. I'm not going to get drawn into any arguement regarding terrorism in N.I. You seriously trying to teach me something about them!??? The statement: 'A terrorist is a man with a bomb but no airforce' deserves some consideration I believe. That's all. I didn't think up the statement. I don't necessarily believe the statement. I just feel it to be worthy of consideration.

What are your beliefs in regard to reincarnation?
vortexring replied to Muenkel's topic in Speakers Corner
Richards, that's a question I've found myself pondering enough times. How could an ever merciful and loving God do such a thing? I think this is more likely to be earlier man's interpretation of things - I try to believe in God. It doesn't bother me too much lack of evidence or some of the stories in the bible that lack authenticity. (Like the lady getting turned into a pillar of salt. Sure she did.) The bible is a book of fables or parables really. I try and read it with this in mind. Like organised religion, man has interferred too much; for power, control and money - hence, don't come to church and spend your tithing you'll spend eternity getting toasted with the devil sticking a pitchfork in your ass. I'm 60/40 in a belief of God. Evidence? I thought the whole point was there to never be evidence! What would be the point of our existence if everybody knew, without any doubt, God existed? On a course a few years back we had to 'supposedly' relearn Newtons laws (I never really knew them). But what interested me was energy and how it transfers. It can't ever just cease to exist. Like the stone I have aimed at your face has potential energy. I throw it - kinetic energy. It misses and hits a brick wall - heat and sound energy, on so on. Well, what happens to our energy when we pass away in our sleep??? One last thought - infinity. An atom - consists of a nucleus with varying electrons orbiting and sometimes tacheons orbiting the electrons. Split it. Massive release of energy. Sun = an atom? Planets, moons, etc? Worm/blackholes between the 'levels'? Edited to add reincarnation: If your a bellend throughout your life and come back as dung beetle or something, what's the point in that? Your not going to remember being a bellend are you? So where's the punishment? Fables again I reckon. Come to our organised religion! -
It wouldn't be nice on your eyes to read my opinion on some of the things in this thread, nevertheless, here is something about terrorists that I came across somewhere: A terrorist is a man with a bomb but no air force. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
-
Thats discombobulating. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Going off a bit here, but perhaps it may be worth considering that I've never came across anyone, who, having used cannabis fairly often, hadn't tried other illegal drugs. And for a lot of people this is the beginning of the 'end.' I've seen most of my childhood friends fuck their entire lives up on drugs, where it all began with smoking hash. Hence, continue to keep the drug illegal. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Obviously the latter................. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Your are out of order John. Stop acting like a daft wee boy. Or a petulant little girl for that matter. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Aaaw, how kind. Thx for your thoughtfulness, Mike! - that really is not necessary Look, we see it relaxed: Last years we simply used gas, OMGWTF 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Ha ha ha. My wifes Dackel took on a hedgehog once - got himself in a right state. No fear whatsoever. All the spines pricking his snout made him go even more crazy - not nice. Lovely dog - utterly insane! 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
-
How about a cat Christel? To a rodent, a cat's teeth and claws are weapons, and they are employed by the cat to commit violence against the poor rodents. For fucks sake. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Regarding cats - my cat regularly brings rabbits into the garden and then eats them. He will also bring there rats, mice, voles, birds(mostly Skylarks, the little bastard) and once, a pheasant! First chance I get I'll stick on a pic. (if I can upload it) - this is every week 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Hey, funny that - my wifes parents still look after her dog (he's a Dackel)back home - he's nuts. One summer he was snuffling around and dug up some dead baby rats. I took one off him to show the Mrs and he went fucking mental! Next thing I've got this overgrown weasel chasing me around the orchard trying it's best to eat me! Here's a pic. of him eating a plum Edit: pic's not uploading 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Perhaps, just for a minute, maybe not everyone who doesn't agree with you are not actually gun-a-phobes John. Now, I'm not wanting to send you insane here John, but perhaps a lot of these people are actually in the military and operate weapon systems week in week out! FOR REAL!!! Perhaps people not sharing your obsession are not actually gun-a-phobes??? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" Hey John - you could market yourself as an insomnia cure! Seriously though - I wonder why your so big on guns. It's like an obsession. Maybe you've had to use them on occasion for self defence - I'm a bit curious. And if you can't be arsed - no worries 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
