  1. I meant Christianities reflection of our societies general interactions no longer exists. Whilst religion can often do more harm than good as seen throughout history, at the very least the 10 Commandments are the foundation of any society yet today they are completely and utterly disregarded. As you mentioned in your previous point. I'm sometimes horrified by peoples behaviour. Especially my own!!! But, despite being no saint, I'm continually wondering, what on earth is wrong with people these days? Whats gone wrong or missing from their lives to behave in such a way? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  2. Or simply get an older 'mate' to buy it for you? Most parents around those times I mentioned were unaware their children 'owned' weapons and were cutting about the woods shooting anything moving with air rifles, pistols, black widow catapaults, crossbows and what have you. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  3. Yeah - bring back old fashioned discipline and real solid family values. Isn't it crazy your better off financially being a single parent in this country? Gay weddings??? Fucking immoral as sin. Gay couples adopting? Madness. Litigation? Chalk boards? THE LIST IS FAST BECOMING ENDLESS. People no longer accept their moral responsibility. I think I first felt old one evening viewing the X factor and watching these completely uneducated and untalented freakezoids literally in tears having been fucked off by the judges for being freakezoids. They couldn't accept the moral responsibility of being freakezoids and dealing with the problem in a mature fashion, so felt obliged to try and become one of the rich and famous dickheads they worship - Sod it, I have not the time to rant on about this. I could present this entire thread in a more articulate manner but whats the point? Christianity no longer exists - the rich idle and famous are our Gods. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  4. John - geography lesson for you I think, however, the points beeen already made. Still, I was once asked in the states if "Scatchland" was next to London....not quite. I'd imagine if they banned air guns around the area where I grew up the biodiversity may well have been seriously effected due to population explosion of birds and rabbits and what have you. I wouldn't ban the air guns - perhaps improve methods of keeping them away from 13 - 15 year old boys. Most are little bastards at this age when it comes to shooting anything that moves - with the only care being to achieve a shot on target. Such as incidents like: 6 young teenagers shooting the same cow until it was literally somersaulting across the field. Teenagers shooting a bull in the balls. The slap of the impact, the poor beast collapsing, screaming, and trying to lick its nuts simultaneously. Shooting people bending to roll their bowl on the arse at the local bowling green in the summer. A teenager sniping a particular gentlemans dog in the intent of driving it into a bit of a frenzy, yet killing the poor wee dog stone dead. Days avoiding school, throwing bread onto the opposite terraced house row to shoot the birds, from bedroom windows. Then the inevitable collection of the carcasses - bin bags worth. Trust me - this cannot be justified as normal behaviour. I'd classify it as low level evil. Yet it happens all the time - or at least did, prior to the popularity of games consoles. My point is that how people use their weapons cannot ever be properly policed. Inevitably there will be misuse. So why have them? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  5. It certainly a factor. This is a Religion with far too many of it's aspects in the middle ages. Look at the thousands and thousands of children in Ireland literally abducted and sent to Catholic boarding schools by the welfare service to be physically and mentally abused by the nuns and priests. In the UK there are increasing numbers of stories being printed of the victims experiences. I know someone very well, who wasn't abused sexually, but abused in nearly every nasty way a child could be abused. These stories published make for deeply depressing reading. In fact, it's fucking outrageous how they were treated. The Catholic church should hang it's head in shame over these victims experiences. I know many Catholics, literally the most nice and respectable people you might wish to meet. How on earth they continue to go to their churches every Sunday is beyond my comprehension. Perhaps this vow of celibacy may not necessarily turn them into sexual monsters but it certainly seems to make a significant amount of them very bitter and twisted. Or do they live on a diet of crab apples? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  6. Sounds a bit strange - I'm thinking she was either mistaken or talking nonsense. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  7. Whilst on the subject of Christmas, the Czech's are getting fairly peeved at all the Santa Clauses popping up in Prague. They tell their kid's Jezisek brings the presents so it's causing some confusion. Should there be international restrictions put on Santa? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  8. Probably best I don't. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  9. I'd probably laugh mate if I wasn't feeling like such a melon. Maybe I should have a breathalizer fixed to the damn machines on button - never drink and post. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  10. er, just to explain a bit then; the worst was pretty bad; it was to a post by TBrown in the Iraq surrender group report thread. He'd made a fantastic comment, which I misinterpretated and then proceeded to write a load of bollox. Can't exactly remember what I said but thankfully it's been deleted. So I guess the apology is mainly directed at Tom. Sorry man. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  11. This is a post to apologise for making some rude and stupid comments earlier - I'd like to say sorry for anyone who was offended. I have no excuses. I guess this post may well bring attention to them, however, I'm probably due a ban so I'd like to apologise beforehand. In fact, I should ban myself, at least from posting on return from the pub. Sorry guy's. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  12. ah, sorry Tom for such a completely stupid and rude comment. I ought to kick my own ass. Sorry. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  15. Haha - That's a good point. I'd bet the thought of war crime tribunals has not been far from their thoughts! 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  16. Sometimes it's easy to believe these public enquiries exist purely to squash any conspiracy theories. Such as the inquiry into David Kelly's death (remember him?) and what have you. Who really believes for a second that evidence would be found by British police pointing to the British Government being responsible for her murder? But there is certainly food for thought here. Deniable operations? Smoke without fire? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  17. Indeed - it might be a worse punishment to imprison him for his remaining life, but being responsible for the horrific deaths of innocent women and children forfiets your right to life. Whether this allows him to become an iconic martyr is neither here nor there. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  18. coincidence!! 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  19. I think the people who voted yes are joking - as was I by putting up the post. Who would really like to see a televised excecution? A few warped souls yes, but on Christmas Day? Anyway, does anyone know when it's due? Whilst on the subject, having seen old archived footage of of the after affects from his decision to use chemical weapons on the Kurdish town of Halabja in Iraq (mustard gas, sarin, taban,vx, and blood agent hydrogen cyanide) I think it's good he's getting excecuted. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  20. Seriously though - when's he due to get topped? I'm sure I read earlier this month in the next twenty days. Any confirmation? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  21. Not really. Oligarchs do not equal Putin nor the regime. Some are on the hit list. Others are in jail. I'd look more towards the FSB than the oligarchs (whom have, I believe, understood that staying away from pilitics will allow them to stay free and wealthy). Have you never heard of deniable operations? Perhap's think of who exactly from the UK trained the mujahadden to operate the Stingers against the Soviets? They were military who'd 'resigned' prior to going to Afghan. They 're-enlisted' again on their return. Figure it out. In regards to the Oligarch's, quite often being onside with the politicians allow them to stay free and wealthy. Perhap's your unaware of the dissident ex-oligarchs now languishing in Russian labour camps as enemies of the state? Besides - both entities had a common problem in Litvinenko. Hence the simple logic of the situation.
  22. Logically it does in the sense that the oligarchs get their message across - simple as that. As far as I understand Polonium 210 doesn't come cheap! I'm sure the reaction to this would have been anticipated..... 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  23. If we're home for Christmas we like to make an effort on the tree - the decorations you describe are in poor taste in regards to a domestic setting. They might also distract me from viewing the Queen's Christmas speech! Then again, so might the hanging of Saddam - isn't he due to be excecuted mid-December onwards? Christmas Day!? I can see it now - I'm sat watching the end of the Queen's speech on telly when; "And now we go live over to Baghdad where we have reporter Katie Adie...." Anyway John, I'd have thought your Christmas baubles would be minature M-16's and what have you.
  24. ! Very ironic indeed. Wonder who invited the Muslims to the funeral then? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  25. Just to speak of the man's funeral yesterday - amongst the mourners gathered alongside his widow and son: Boris Berezovsky, President Putin's arch rival. His presence in London infuriates the Kremlin. He was one of 6 pallbearers. Akhmed Zakayev - former Chechen resistance leader Andrei Nekrasov - his 2004 film Disbelief was based on Mr Litvinenko's controversial book claiming that it was Russian security services that were responsible for the 1999 Moscow apartment bombings, to pave the way for Russia's 2nd Chechen offensive (bit like 9/11 and Iraq/Afghan', eh!? ........sorry, I'll get my coat....") During the funeral, Lord John Rea, director of the Save Chechnya campaign, held aloft a picture of the Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya, a vehement critic of Mr Putin's actions in Chechnya. Mr Litvinenko was investigating the circumstances of her murder at the time of his own poisoning. Apparantly, it was Mr Litvinenko's wish that the service be non-religious and non-denominational. Also some people appeared and against the explicit wishes of the widow, and performed muslim rights. Some claim Mr Litvinenko switched faiths to Islam on his deathbed (Akhmed Zakayev), others rejected this (Mr Goldfarb; acting as the family spokesman). This element of whether he became a Muslim or not interests matters - I figure if he felt that strongly about changing his faith, he'd have perhaps been more likely to do so when fit and well.
