  1. Well, over here, if one of the lads stuck a picture of the patrol on a popular website, showing our faces, how popular do you think this action would be? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  2. HAHA, not trying to be a dick but there is no such thing. Even with just body armor and a basic load, no ruck or additional equipment, pure Hollywood type patrolling with that weapon load you would have your ass handed to you in 1600 meters in the open dessert < 1600m in the open desert? With just webbing and body armour? Carrying an M-4? Wow. Hardcore. Even with a 33lb XM-109 it would be a bit hot perhaps, but a piece of piss 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  3. So essentially, if he fully believed GW II to be illegal(and they'res plenty of argument here!) he could explain his refusal to participate as compliance with his duties? It's a good and valid point - but it only works to an extent. Otherwise why would so many soldiers have been convicted in military courts for refusal to soldier in Iraq? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  4. That's good OpSec. Scott - especially the last pic. Bet your mates are delighted! 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  5. QuoteUtter horse shit.< That's very diplomatic of you Skyrad. Can I now send you the cleaning bill for my screen? 1xWetwipe = 2p. Paypal's fine. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  6. I'm all for it happening - after reading the Iranian Presidents letter he wrote to Georgie, and taking into account both mens characteristics, the stakes would be massive - as would the entertainment value. On that note, pity they couldn't solve the entire situation in the ring - how entertaining would that be!? With chainsaws!
  7. At least it has an applicable name - anyone know any other equipment known as an M-109??? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  8. Yeah I do agree with you then. But for most 8 man patrol/squad scenarios it would be a case of picking one over the other. I'd always go for the .338 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  9. Randall, you forgot sidearms!! My favourite is pictured below, having been tried and tested numerous times over the years, remarkably user friendly and dependable: Karen, the XM-109 has a greater range than the .338 you have pictured.
  10. Make sure you do mate! If I was doing your job I'd quite simply just get a pair of normal UK Army issue boots. Surely you don't need a pic? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  11. I agree with you Mark, however, it leaves a lot of food for thought considering how often soldiers on both sides of the pond are going down this road... 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  12. Since my recommendation of the 'Special Duty' boots didn't go down too well (can't think why) I can say that if you do decide to purchase GSG-9 (top name...) don't expect them to last that long - especially regarding all the pavements you'll be walking along. I'd certainly agree with Skymonkeyones experience with the boot. However, I did notice that the model advertised from your link has changed a bit from the boots I used to use, which was for generally parachuting or whenever I wanted something on my feet that felt like a pair of supportive trainers. So perhaps the issue with the sole peeling off and the grip wearing out rapidly has been addressed. But don't you think a smarter pair of boots would be more applicable for your work, such as these: 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  13. Scoop, having military experience I recommend for the type of tasks you'll be undergoing you'll need some sturdy and dependable boots such as these, which are available from all good Harry Webster outlets mate: 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  14. I'm glad - I read over your theories and felt, as you said yourself, they're more assertions rather than facts.(hey, they wouldn't be theories then would they?) I think better explanations of your assertions might make them more understandable, and allow wider debate. However, I feel you can't classify a persons experience into your two areas of feeling and thinking, whether for the purposes of your discussion or to assert something completely inane such as supporting the man in the moon actually did tumble down and ask his way to Norwich. Or perhaps I'm just being an argumentative fucker. I also think a bit of google time would bring up some explanations in regards to the mental energy used by our thought processes regarding change. But this is my assertion. Perhaps I'm wrong? Perhaps I could of googled some logical answers myself and looked smart? In a similar sense I've often wondered where all our energy goes when we die. When we just slip away - in our sleep or unconscious state. Does it transfer in some method we're unaware of, to the 'fabric of the universe' you mention? It has to go somewhere does it not? Regarding your assertion of how we exercise free will and how it relates to God seems a sound enough theory if I'm understanding you right. But that's the problem. I'm not quite sure I am. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  15. You've not gone and run out of your patience reservoir have you?
  16. Sunni militias fighting Shiite militias; what exactly does he think is happening right now in Iraq? He's thinking if he says the wrong thing & not what he's told he's in the poo.... 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  17. ...hello, UNIFIL, fire mission, over...... Wonder if they'd been asked by the Israeli's to screw the nut prior to 'endex.'? It certainly seems they asked the Israeli's to screw the nut before hand. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  18. For a demonstration of improvised weaponary click on the link, then click 'toys' on the title bar then scroll down the screen till you see a picture of two 'neds' kicking a can of coke. Watch it. It's funny. As is most of the sight funnily enough. http://www.glasgowsurvival.co.uk/ Edited to add: The cartoon contains violence! Be warned. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  19. By drinking a bottle of Buckfast tonic wine (wreck the hoose juice) and smashing it's head in with the bottle. How else??? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  20. Liberals are for another planet - not this one. No way. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  21. Darius? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  22. Yeah, it's outrageous - kids back home running around with shitty Jap samurai swords - whatever next? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  23. Perhaps Baseball bats could also included. I've often wondered how many bats are actually bought in Scotland specifically for playing baseball or softball. About 5%? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  24. How dare you say that The Muslims started this war!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t you know they are to blame for everything? Crazy if this was planed then who is to blame for the bloodshed? I am sure the blind and ignorant will still find a way to blame the Muslims. Oh yea and we hate Israel because there Jews it has nothing to do with the bloodshed they have caused, the country they destroyed, or the children they murdered Will people’s ignorance ever end? Only when they read and look into things a bit deeper. Israel planned this recent conflict, as in turn, Hizbollah did likewise. In the part where you've quoted me I'm referring to Israel. Now, drink this glass of milk.......... Edited to add: Where did I say muslims started the war? Are you drunk? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  25. Keeping all this on topic - and avoiding any America bashing(unecessary - they're extremely effective at doing this all on their own), how on earth can America claim Israel are victorious!!!!??? This is beyond the realms of sanity. Israeli objectives(?): 1=Cripple Hizbollah's military capability. FAILED 2=The elimination of autonomous governing structures in S. Lebanon. FAILED 3=Arrival of international force to prevent Hizbollah rebuilding positions. FAILED 4=Keep friendly casualties to minimum. FAILED 5=Maintain prestige and moral authority. FAILED 6=Maintain through action, military reputation. FAILED The list is endless. What makes it all the more worse is the simple fact this recent conflict had been planned, with US knowledge, for at least a year!!!!!!! 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
