    That's interesting, because I've noticed the exact opposite. In the last 3 months I've seen or heard of 2 jumpers losing their A3 visors in freefall. One guy has replaced it 3 times on his new A3. The other, finally took it off completely and uses goggles, like the majority of A3 owners in SoCal. The guy that replaced his 3 times finally sold it and bought the old Pimp Daddy mindwarp. A deal he found on dz.com. Anyway, that's not to say that a Z1 is perfect; just what I've noticed lately.

    Don't all your Level I student's exits look that pristine? LTDIVER Yeah, but I never got any stills! ...and those that are on video are probably on Jay's Oh shit tape.

    Dude, you sure that was a Level 1? The exit looks too perfect and his arch looks great. Did he get some tunnel time prior to the jump? If not, he either gets it and/or had good instruction. I know he did a tandem with some SEALs in the past, but it looks weird with a Navy guy jumping Army equipment.

    Looks like we can still pay homage to the 15 way pics in the Bombshelter. The next one will take some planning. Yep, woulda been fun to get some jumps in, but I only had time to do the tunnel and get back to 'Snore for work. El Snore was fairly busy with the Vertical Challenge and a few dozen tandems and several AFFs. We also had night jumps with two loads. Sunday was relaxed, but Memorial Day brought a lot of unscheduled tandems to keep us busy.

    Which is fine, but intentionally doing a downwinder too many times in the main landing area at most DZs will result in, a) a temporary ban by the S&TA, or b) getting one's ass beat by the locals. Several DZs have specific areas to do high-performance landings, while restricting final turns less than 90 degrees in the main landing area, primarily into the wind. Proper training lessens the chance of this.

    I prefer Curling since you vary your strategy relative to your opponent's hair color. A blue-ish color may indicate more aggressive moves by your team. You must also ensure that your equipment is maintained well and in great condition. Most of it can also be acquired at Home Depot, rather than Sport Chalet, and at a quantity discount. It is a mysterious sport, but I encourage everyone to learn more about the competition and join the local club.

    Mr. Lawrocket, So you saw me sucking? Yeah, Dom is a tunnel whore and probably has more tunnel time than I have freefall time! As I can recall, Dom only left the tunnel to drink water and pee. He crawled out of the tunnel during the last session. Good seeing you in SoCal again. So, do I still have the honor of being on your most current skydive?     Why don't we ask the students what they have learned, and what they continue to learn from their instructors, post-A license? Many instructors have students who post here. Ask them.

    There are a lot of good suggestions here, but I think if somebody's skills are in question, the DZ should not keep them on staff. It is, after all, the DZ's responsibility for hiring good instructional staff.

    I dunno, Mr. Shark. I get worried whenever you mention camera time and stealing. See below. Actually, Tigger was the photog of Cajones' ass. Don't show this to Rosa, as she is on an Ass fetish right now. While talking about grabbing Marie's ass during a dirt dive she was demonstrating her technique and grabbed a handfull of Jonathan's. (BTW, why do YOU still have pics of Cajones' ass???? Might make Lew jealous.)
