    Vigil AAD

Ah, Jeff... holding down the fort, eh?! Kelly just stopped by 'Snore this afternoon.
  3. Soldiers enforce policy, not make it. Being a member of the armed forces may even involve war and what some may believe unjust killing. That being the case, why become a soldier? Being a soldier is not for everyone, just as skydiving is not for everyone. In either case, some get involved for all the wrong reasons.

    Vigil AAD

Has AirTec addressed every issue? The misfire in Perris that I witnessed (@4500') has never been clearly addressed. That did not stop me from jumping a Cypres. Is it your opinion that AAD is ignoring the issues? How would you even know if they are resolving them or not? Okay, so they replaced the A units. That's hardly ignoring an issue. Your comments are more accusational and lack facts. ...unless your so-called insiders are feeding you intel. It seems to many that a few company reps are here. You want info, they reply, then you dismiss their credibility. Jumpkid made an opinionated comment. He also qualified his statement in which you slam him. You should try looking at it from a different point of view. What if jumpkid made that reply to your post? Would others outline your agenda?
  5. I use both, either a Z1 or MW depending on the type of jump, weather conditions, and student.
  6. Learn to spell before making the accusation.
  7. ....then you might want to stick this on your car bumper.
  8. If you've never had it done, get your altimeter calibrated. Here in the US Alti-2 has field reps that can calibrate and/or repair your Alti-2 altimeter. In SoCal we are fortunate to have Alti-Bob. I have mine checked regularly whether they need them or not.
  9. I wish I could but someone's gotta hold the fort down at 'Snore. Nationals has cannibalized our staff! Stop on by the lake if you can!
  10. I don't see how that would be dangerous. So you open a little higher relative to your departure altitude. There are not that many DZs around with that type of landing situation.
  11. Check out PhD Skydiving. Martin Williams is a good friend and runs the program. He also spends a lot of time here at Skydive Elsinore training his students from the UK. He has a great program and I have even jumped AFF with several of his students.
  12. Nice rig! Now put it to use!
  13. I had my Coach rating for a year and a half prior to entering the AFFIRC, with close to 600 jumps, mostly r-dub stuff. I spent a lot of time observing and assisting in FJCs with getting an occasional Cat G/H jump. This allowed me to transition to how we do it in the real world easier. You should get as many "work-up" jumps as you can prior to entering the course. If anything, freeflying may even help you in certain areas. Skills you will need are slot flying, maneuver flying, and the ability to observe and give in-air instruction. Get the "bottom-end" sequence down as well. AFF can be very rewarding, at times. 15. Bummer. Hope you guys had fun, though. Besides, we need Alan back at 'Snore for tandems/AFF.
  16. I'd check again, perhaps in your logbook. Not that it matters, but Navs are 200/220/240/260/280/300. Never heard of a 210. You sure it's even a Navigator?
  17. Is this up to date? Anymore lurkers out there?
  18. Congrats! Guess that means yer coming out fer Chicks Rock!
  19. Alana, You can try my Sabre2 150 at Chicks Rock. Shark
