Yeah, guys and girls, take advantage of the excellent coaching this weekend! All at no-cost... Just pay your slot.
-
Yes, you do! BTW, look for the Shark trying to steal some camera time on a future tv show.
-
That might even be better way to go. Saves money, too. I've actually done several "live" AFF with my AFFCD. Quite fun, actually.
-
Scott, Sorry for your loss. I often think about dogs I have owned that have passed. See you when you guys when you get back to Elsinore. Perhaps we can do a memorial jump for Ben.
-
It may be a good idea, but what can we expect if we only require 15 AFF jumps in the previous 12 months to be considered "current?" Also, are these AFF-Is able to effectively teach an FJC? I know several whom have never taught an FJC, nor do they desire to. "I'd rather be jumping," they say. We should probably require more than the 15 AFF jumps prior to an annual eval jump. Then again, others may feel that they don't need 15 AFFs and would rather challenge the eval jump. If we do require an annual or bi-annual check jump, would it be an additional fee to get tested? I'm not sure how popular that would be, either.

Specifically, you're on top of me. If they have a suit big enough for Sonny Chiba to sitfly in, you shouldn't have any problems. -
What do you mean? I should have been more specific.... get professional coaching, as oppossed to someone who has 10+ more jumps than you and may not be giving you good instruction/technique.
-
Congrats, again! Mine, unfortunately, burned up in the Great Elsinore Fire. I now keep an electronic logbook in addition to a traditional one. Remember that Shark Attack Texas Tour starts 10 June 2004! Looking forward to drinking some Shiner with 41 at the Library.

Get some coaching!

Birds must be much smarter than skydivers, I have never seen a bird of any kind downwind a landing, leader or no leader. I've seen a mallard downwind it and get a great swoop on the pond. ...and he only did a 180 to final.
-
Thanks for waiting for me to finish work and get to be on your milestone jump!
-
Yeah but yours looks awfully brown
-
You didn't! Otherwise, it would have been just another 8 way and nothing colorful to talk about. You do, however, need to work on your Pie-ing skills.
-
Hi Jen! Congratulations!!!! That was quite an accomplishment! I especially like the second pic... surrounded by your 2 favorite skydivers. The 7 way star pic is pretty good, too! BTW, if anyone is wondering, Jonathan took that snapshot before he docked to make it an 8 way, in which case he earns an SCS and we get more beer.

Yeah, I missed that camp, but got in earlier in the day. In my 15+ minutes I did 3 walking sessions. Scott taught me the seaweed, forward movement, backward, sideways, and some stability stuff. Kinda neat, actually. The remainder was spent with Erin trying to improve my right hand 360s. Our vertical stuff was awesome! Since it was in the late afternoon, the warm air felt like it came from a blowdryer! You guys signed up for the dizzy.com sessions?

Real butter and a large Coke.

You got it. Stay tuned

should dz make tandem mandatory first jump?
Shark replied to freeryde13's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Both can be disorienting to whuffos. Just ask the dude that hurled. -
Your writing explains better than mine -- point comes across better Sure it does. If not, you are NOT altitude aware. I breif this scenario with my students. I also concur with Chuck. So what do you do if the instructor is not anywhere in sight and you are at 4,000'? (Assuming I have them pulling at 5) I want the right answers or we do not jump.
