Are you a good judge of character? (skydive related)
Shark replied to WrongWay's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I concur. Then there are the students that have done a few static line jumps years ago and try to teach the FJC for you. They know it all and don't really need to "review" anything. Rarely do they remember the skydive, let alone what those funny "gang" signals we flashed them. Trying to size-up your class is sometimes useless. One thing I have noticed, at least lately, is that some FJ students that are marginal in the air have been pretty good under canopy. -
I've got over 50 jumps on mine within the last month without any problems.

I think the Barbie-rig should be in the next VSE ad in Parachutist.

Happy BDay, Cinco de Mayo Bytch!

So who thinks the wind tunnel is fun?!
Shark replied to ltdiver's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I hate the tunnel!!!! That's why I only go twice a month, or so. -
Ron, et. al. Most of your comments are demeaning of those that are using products you deem unsafe. Do you really believe that NO AAD has that probability. Again, you appear to believe that some AADs are infallible. The fact is they all are prone to error and if you or anyone is worried about a misfire, don't use one. I think it's time to write your congressman. You account for over 13% of the posts here, so either a) you babble, or b) you have trouble making a point. You should try to focus on resolutions, not how naive Vigil users are including Majik & Mabuege.

I have 4, including a dizzy.com sticker. Does that make me 40% scared? -
Yep, sounds like an exciting weekend! Two DZs, formation loads, drama, tunnel fun followed by a good . See you 'round the DZs.

I believe it was my signature on your proficiency card which prompted them to take immediate action.

Lou, Do you realize that you are the first student out of your FJC that has completed AFF? Well, actually that's because Dean only completed level 2 and hasn't jumped in a few months. Congrats! BTW, did you buy yet?!
-
Okay, these two are much better....
-
Blue skies, Raff.
-
Congrats to all!
-
Well, Michele! If I can recall correctly, you slapped said AIQ!
-
I guess the owner of the ass-in-question decided he'd rather not touch said AIQ. Maybe Lewmonst can shed some light.... so to speak.
-
Well, you could have figured out the severity.... especially since it was at the DZ.
-
If you do, this is what happens.... You may find some additional pictures or even new wallpaper.
-
Uh, yer clock's a lil slow, too. Happy, happy hour, KB! (Have you spanked your lately?)
-
Sounds good to me! So, you, me, Amazon... who else? BTW, I think we're lacking enthusiasm for a new dizzy dot com record. Looks like last year's will stand.

why dont you post your jump numbers?
Shark replied to tattoojeff's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
"Safe" is always hard to measure, but it certainly shows a lack of respect and concern for the well being of the others. Someone with 40 jumps shouldn't be on a 40 way. That's not too hard to measure. -
why dont you post your jump numbers?
Shark replied to tattoojeff's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Wow, and you could tell after one jump with me? -
why dont you post your jump numbers?
Shark replied to tattoojeff's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
First off, this is the Internet and I couldn't care less if people post their experience/jump numbers. The question is if they are trying to get on a "popular" skydive do they fudge their numbers/experience just to participate? Is it safe to do so? To some degree I concur with Billvon and Ron. Giving erroneous or misleading advice can be fatal.
