We probably "push" people a little. Then again, it is ultimately "your" decision. I see this a lot when it gets really windy....

Yup. Good point. A lot of people heading to the Nationals are needing to take the test. There's nothing wrong with night jumps. In fact, I have more night jumps than freefly, and I'd like to do more of both. I think they should increase the qualifications to 500 jumps and adding a crew class. I also believe that the accuracy requirement should be better monitored. Heck, some of the D license holders have never hit the peas! Aside from that, the D license signifies a "Master" skydiver; of course, that is subject to interpretation. Shark D-24499 CCR-2113

I have my new 170 loaded a little less than yours with about the same number of jumps on it. I always have decent openings. Sure, it has sniveled a little longer at times, but so would any other canopy. I PRO pack, leave the center cell hanging, fold the end cells in and put 6 to 8 twists in the tail. On the bag, I also use 2 Skybands in the center locking stowes and small brown ones on the others. I leave about 12-18 inches of line. Seems to work fine. Now for the Sabre2 openings........... never mind...

uh, you know I'm kidding!!!!!

Lisa, It was a trip! I think I got some stills from home. It also got some reflections that gave a crescent type of image. Pretty cool if it prints out.

I do. Always have, and I live in SoCal. Gloves are also a safety feature, but then again, it's your choice. Sometimes you gotta wear protection.

...and they "borrow" your gear and hold it for ransom.

Sebazz, That was a very nice story. Sounds like there will be more kiss passes, too! This one was made for TV.

Congrats! So I take it that it will be an un-linked exit, swoop and dock for the nuptuals (sp?), track, open, 2 stack, downplane and land.... right??

Great to see her back in the AIR! She may not remember me, but tell her the shark sez hello!

Welcome to the world of Sabre2 openings.

I should also add that if you are too dependent on the pro-track, it may be time to do a few jumps without it to sharpen your altitude awareness. Also, that flatline, at least for me, is a warning that it is too late to cutaway if under bad chute. And for me, I'm usually in the saddle around 2. YMMV.
