Due to creative differeces, me and Val have decided to go our separate ways. We'll be featured on the E True Hollywood Story in a few weeks. Seriously now, since i had to be silly and get hung up on a certain someone, most of my time will be spent in the midwest.

About 100 miles... we landed in a vacant lot accross the street from this big 4th of July party. They happend to have a windblade and purple smoke, too.

I've tried different methods and the suggestion I got was from John LeBlanc himself. I guess we are all test pilots with the higher performance canopies...

Clay hit the nail on the head. Unlike the old BIC, you can actually "work" with a Coach rating.

W- I've been giving the front's a little tug to pick up speed, especially when approaching in higher winds. It seems to help, but I haven't tried to plane it out yet, and stall. Hence the scaped knees.

I just left the nose hanging. Leave the end-cells exposed as well. Seemed to work.

I put about 40 on a 170 and 3 on a 150. I'd have to say the 60% of my openings were "interesting" and challenging. I sent an email to PD and John LeBlanc responded. I changed my packing technique which seemed to resolve my problem. By then it was too late and I sent back the demo and my Spectre arrived. I still love the way the Sabre2 flies and lands, and when the major mods have been implemented, I will probably get one. But I'll still keep the Spectre around.

Don't fly it like your old Spectre. I've landed them pretty well up until my last jump where I went to my knees. John LeBlanc once told me not to go into a deep flare because they fall out of the sky. A 2 stage landing might be the ticket. Maybe Wendy can shed some light on the Lightning.

Dude, Our Demo went off really well. The crowd loved us! It was just really windy up in Palmdale. And it made for a challenging approach and landing. It's really different when you intentionally open over the neighborhood. We used the old 206, formally from Hemet, and the movie "Blow." BTW, Hottamaly showed up with her cooler full of jello shots! And Smurfette dragged herself and her broken leg out to watch as well. Too much fun! We're planning to get an Otter for next year!
