I actually work with a guy who claims to be related to DB. He told me that he did make the landing and lived in Canada for a lil while. Use to call the family and update them from time to time. Then all of a sudden the calls stopped, and they have no clue what happened to him. Oh My God! I love this thread! Sorry, I just love dogs! And the lab in the snow is sooo beautiful! Seeing how I dont have any pics of MY puppy, [she is 5 years old but still acts like a puppy], I will have to post her dad, which just so happens to be my dads dog. His name is Buster, he is part German Shepard, part Rhodesian Ridgeback [predominant]. He is like 13 years old or so, and we like to say he adopted us! He just showed up in our yard one day and wouldnt leave. Been with us ever since! He is an awesome dog, and I have many fond memories with him. One christmas we got him this little stocking with assorted christmas shaped bone like treats. After we opened all out gifts, and he had time with his, he went and stood by the door, letting us know he wanted to go outside. Just before my lil sister opened the door for him she noticed his mouth looked a lil funny. She got him to open his mouth to see what was going on, and lo and be hold he had most of those treats in his mouth. He had been going thru the burying stage at that time, and we were sure that if he had gotten outside, we would have never seen those treats again. It was hilarious! You guys make the rulz and count me in. I dont mind the postage, but for military overseas post offices [APO, FPO, etc.], tracking numbers wont work. As soon as it leaves the states, the tracking number is worthless. Still a pretty cool idea thou! I am more partial to huskys, labs, german shepards, rhodiesian ridgebacks, and rotties, but I would gladly take any dog! I guess Im just lazy... I never do the wash before putting in the dishwasher thing. I mean, we scrape our plates when we are done eating, and then in the dishwasher. Then again. All we had where I use to live were snakes, gopher turtles, and an owl. I dont really know where the owl lives, I just saw it a couple times flying by my house. The turtles all usually stay in the woods, but one took up a home in the middle of my yard. The snakes were usually black racers, and really cool to play with, but we have had a couple corals, and rattlers. We have dogs so my dad killed all the poisonous ones, but we let the black racers go because they keep the mice and rats under control. Yeah, the wrestled out at Bagram Air Field... which just so happens to be where I am stationed. I got to see a lot of people I knew on TV. For instance the pilot that got a silver star and his wife. I use to work with them on a daily basis. I am working day shift currently so I didnt get to go see the show. But I was lucky enough to catch a concert just a few days back. Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders came with them!!! Where as if you give them cash, or a check, then they can go where ever they like to shop and get something there.
