    I agree. I realize this is a place to stand on your soap box and shout to all who will listen, about a cause you feel needs to be fought for. But it seems as thou it is turning into a circus of religious beliefs. It is most likely just a quick fad and we will move on to our next set of topics in a weeks time, at most.     Sadly being on deployment is very similar to prohibition, with the exception of moon shine. So I have had none. But could DEFINATLY use one!     I am a student, looking at buying a new complete rig. I am debating between the Quaser II & Z-Po [190], or the Vector III [M-Series] & Sabre 2 [190]. I only way 150 lbs, so I think the 190 will do good. I am just curious what you guys think. Which would be better, or am I looking at the wrong rig completely?     Congrats Mike! I have been trying to work my way thru my own AFF. I only had a week to get as much as I could, and only got 4 jumps in. Now I just have to wait to get out of this deployment to finish up. But you know I will be jumping as much as I can next time I near the DZ! Anyway! Congrats Man!     "Letters From Home" John Michael Montgomery When my grandfather got really sick and was in the hospital, my dad asked him if he wanted to send me a letter [I was in Basic Training], and all he would ever want written is, "Are you scared? Are your boots muddy". Ever since he pasted away last year, I tear up hearing it. Also just about any patriotic song the National Anthem, "Heros in the Field", "Angry American", "Have you forgotten", and so many more, give me goose bumps and help remind me why I volunteered to fight in this war. Everyone loses sight of things sometimes, those just help bring me back.     My mom was the one who first got me out to the DZ. My dad got her a tandem for a anniversary present. I just had to wait til I was 18 and finally did one myself. My lil sister decided that if I could handle it, then so could she, so for her 18th birthday (last October) my mom, lil sister, and me, all did a tandem together. As soon as I landed on my second tandem, I knew I was hooked. I basicly ran to manifest and scheduled my AFF classes. My parents come out when they can, and are really supportive of my jumping. I think its more because they worry so much about being in the ARMY that as long as I am home, they dont care what I do!     Love is abstract. It is whatever you want to make of the emotional infatuation and the crazy things people do when they reach that point. Some fall fast, others take quite a while to realize it. Either way, when you do fall in love, you are so happy just to talk to the other person, or to think about them. There is no doubt that love hurts. I have been in and out of love too many times, including losing my fiance. It always hurts when it ends, but you have to look at how much fun it was while it was still there. Its the only way I find the strengtht to continally pick myself up from 3 levels below rock bottom, and start again.     I am a soldier currently fighting in Afghanistan. And personally, the US Flag means quite a bit to me. If I were to see someone burning it, or disgracing it in any other way, I would be really pissed. Though the general population of civilians in the US may look at the flag as just a piece of cloth, I see it as so much more. I would never burn another countries flag either. To me, it is the ultimate disrespect to any country.     Well, I am 4 classes into my AFF. I have a total of 6 jumps including 2 prior tandems. I jump out of Skydive Space Center in Titusville FL, and I just really love this sport. I cant wait to continue my classes and move on to bigger and better things!
