At the Winter Classic yesterday there were large groups of Pens and Caps fans sitting next to each other. In one area they looked at each other and started chanting "Flyers suck".

The LA Kings are the "sleeper" team in the West. Great goalie, Hard skating young role players and a few shifty, talented forwards and some Norris Trophy caliber defensmen. I watched that game last night hoping Sturm would score a goal against his old team. He did. I hope the Kings get a Cup soon, it's about time. And it would be great for announcer Bob Miller to finally shout out "Kings win the Cup"! Atlanta is the "sleeper" team of the East. It seems the league has a bit more overall talent this year. There are some great goals being scored and some of the goalies have been standing on their heads with some quick saves. NHL Network is great! I am hoping for a Pens/Wings round three for the Cup!

Olav and Omar used to consult with me at Skydive Arizona all of the time. They were bored on their bellys and wanted something more challenging. When I wasn't in the loft showing Weird Wayne how to do rigging, I would go up and show them my new skydiving tricks. It was difficult finding the time though since I was mentoring McGowan on how to film tandems and fun jumpers. Of course that all took my valuable time away from coaching BC, Kirk, Mark and Jack and their new little 4 way team they were starting.

4 am, we must have been drinking.

So for the last month I have been hearing it on the radio, you know, "The Twelve Days of Christmas". But all I hear is "Five Blllloooooooowwwwww jobs". "Twelve twats a twitching, and hand job in an old threeeee.....Damn it! And then the icing on the cake. I'm watching the Wizard of Oz last week with Mo. And Dorothy starts singing..."Somewhere, over the prairie, Skyvan flies..." I start laughing and my five year old daughter asks what's so funny. I can't take it anymore!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

My pool is overflowing. My back patio is flooded. The garage floor looks like Lake Erie. Our friends across the street have a river flowing from their neighbors house, under the fence and into their lower family room. We used a bunch of sandbags yesterday and couldn't stop it. It's raining like hell right now. I'm going to drink some coffee and watch cartoons with the kids.

Ask a couple of high ranking folks that were in the military that you probably know and have jumped with, Gypsy. Retired during GWB's run because of the ineptness of Rumsfeld. I played golf one day with a really nice young man from the Marines. He had been injured in an IED explosion. He was a sniper and was being discharged due to his injuries. Off to Blackwater for him. He was sick of the war, sick of Bush, sick of Rumsfeld and just wanted to make some real money and stop being such a target in Iraq, riding around in humvees. For every guy like him there were probably equal numbers happy with their military jobs and happy with GWB. Rumsfeld wasn't even signing the letters to fallen troops parents. He had an aide stamp his signature. Talk about no respect for the military. And how many requests did he turn down for extra troops in the begining? Obama kept GWB's Defense chief. He wanted some continuity for our military operations. You can argue all day about who has or hasn't respect for our troops. It just depends what side of the coin you are on for the arguments. I think you can cry all you want about Obamacare, taxes, the democrats etc, but to say the president doesn't care about our military men and women is a bullshit move.

Start writing your acceptance speech, as that was the best post by a newbie jumper of all time. Bravo.
