    Might I suggest adding a BSR for better recording and enforcement of jump numbers? That's all you got? Might I suggest in skydiving you can either be the entertainment or watch the entertainment.

    Nice that wingsuit jumping worked out for you after you lied about your experience. You're a self centered skydiver. Not the first and not the last to lie about their jumps. DZO's, love them or loathe them, put their necks out all of the time to keep dumb asses like you in the air. The problem is, all of the self centered pricks don't give a fuck. Hey, if I fuck up that guys DZ deal with the airport, I can go to any number of other DZ's and jump, after I heal up. Maybe the DZ you lied at had a deal that only jumpers with pro coaching could jump WS there. So you go in and your friends rat you out. WTF, he never did a WS jump before. Hey Mr. DZO, it's the airport commission, we're yanking your permit to use our facility since you can't control things. So yeah, I got "high and mighty" and am telling you, you put the DZ at risk.

    I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Tikiman, trying to talk him out of it, but he just wouldn't listen. He's on the right track and has the right ideas, he just needed a little more info. I wish him good luck, it will be a cool boogie if he gets it going. He has great government and business contacts there which will make it much easier to get approval.

    I don't remember the name of it. Cuidad Bolivar, Venezuela. It was on the main street in town. We were there in November and it was still 105 degrees at night. No AC, a plastic trash can mounted up high in a corner for shower water, mattresses that looked like they came out of a prison after 50 years of use, no bedding. It had an open veranda area for fresh air, but everyone down there drives 1970's big gas guzzlers. The exhaust was brutal all night. We did two nights there waiting for a flight. Oh, yeah, the cockroaches were the size of lobsters. And the skeeters could bite through steel.

    Here's my perspective as a once a year DZO. If he came to my boogie and lied, and then went in or got hurt and I found out he lied...I would kill him. I remember a guy lying about his AFF experience once. He took a friend on a recurrency jump. The friend hadn't jumped in 10 years. You oldtimers all know the "punchline". The friend went in no pull. Jumpers can be a bunch of self centered goat fuck stupid (Thanks Amazon) dumb asses. The BSR's were written with blood.

    My satire was lost on lucky, and some of you others. I think it's ridiculous that the principal/school district has to notify the parents that the kids will be seeing a message about school from the POTUS. And that a kid can be excused from watching, double ridiculous.

    I pick up my daughter at school today and she has a hand out from the principal. President Obama is giving a speech to all of the nation's school children tomorrow at 10:00am. If you don't want your child to watch the speech, they can be "excused". I sure hope that Kenyan, Socialistic, Marxist, Communistic Muslim doesn't put subliminal messages in there and brain wash her into doing well in school. It's tough to be in kindergarten these days.

    Funny you should say that. I consciously avoid factoring that into the decision. When it's time to go, it's time to go, and worry about the landing and finding the stuff later. If I'm in Belize and a mile or so out to sea my hard deck is 2,000. If I'm at Lost Prairie and look down and see lots of green trees, my hard deck might be 3,000. Looking down in freefall might just change your mind. Perris, Eloy, the midwest, lots of outs under a reserve. The "Ranch", Switzerland, etc...hmmmm. This question is sort of like what altitude to pull at during an emergency bail out. Sometimes our planned LZ is a bit different than our opening AGL. See that video from Switzerland.

    Thanks Kennedy. I'm married to a District Attorney and we have already discussed this. I'm just throwing it out there for discussion. Remember back when Geraldo Rivera gave out their position in Iraq when the war started? Everyone was up in arms about it. This is the same sort of issue. People in the US have the freedoms to do pretty much anything to protest a cause or issue. But like a poster upthread pointed out, the price in the case may be the life of a soldier. I think it's borderline treason to burn the book in a stupid PR stunt and then have riots start in the Middle East, resulting in harm to our forces. JMHO

    If I'm at a large indoor event and yell, "There's a bomb! Fire!" and the crowd panics and 20 people die in the stampede, will I get charged with a crime? If some of our troops get killed as a direct result of this action, will the pastor be charged with a crime?
