I was at the Perris Fairgrounds OTB today with manifest bitch Dan Cook and my longtime fireman pal, the "Doctor". We had a great time, nailed the win in the derby and rolled out with Ben Franklins stuffed in our pockets. And we tossed back a Stella or three!

I disagree Bolas. The local FSDO and other FAA types get a lot of phone calls from pilots and other citizens complaining about skydive safety. Canopy collisions are on the front burner with everyone. For years we always thought we could kill ourselves and no one would care unless we screamed 120mph through an aircraft wing. The FAA is about to shove the microscope up our asses. Aircraft crashes by jump planes, airplane/jumper mid air, canopy collisions, etc. I'm in the middle of opening a DZ. We're almost there and when we do open there will be a firestorm of protests from the local pilots and residents. Be assured the FAA is concerned about our safety. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies.

The Bush administration would be held up on a pedestal. No one would be asking if he followed any laws by killing him. Bush should have done this years ago. I can't stand the man, but would have cheered him loudly if he had done this. I listen to Rush Limbaugh most days that I can. His opening yesterday was sickening. Wondering why Obama endangered innocent people in the compound, blah, blah, blah. Repulsive, when you think of the hundreds of thousands of innocent people GWB was responsible for getting killed. It's time for Republicans and Democrats to an extent, to realize we can't kill our way to peace. There will always be bad guys. Always. This shows that good police work can get the bad guy. Not invading a nation for no good reason. I don't always agree with things Obama does, but I am proud as hell of him for what he accomplished. And he laid his political future on the table to do this. If it went wrong, if we killed way too many innocent Pakistani's, got into a battle with their military or Osama Bin Laden wasn't there, it would have been open season on the president. I can only hope he has a schedule of bad guys to get now, and starts picking them off one by one. We have wasted trillions of war dollars for no results. It's time to rebuild America.

You can be knocked unconcious wearing any type of helmet. Auto racing, motorcycle, NFL, NHL etc. Full face skydiving helmets offer a lot of protection. IMHO

Yup. I would love to buy all of those guys a beer or three. Think of the pressure they were under. Not just to get him, but to do it the right way with no screw ups. Damn. And a shout out to Obama for having the staff to keep this hushed for a month and the balls to order it done. If it failed he would be doomed as president like Carter was after the botched rescue attempt in Iran.
