Im better at video-editing than remembering event, people and country names JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Whats the reason behind this ban on wingsuits? Reckless behaviour by visiting wingsuit flyers or something else? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

The editing is only the cherry on the pie...but the pie is the flying itself. When you have this kind of material to work with, I think its practicaly impossible to NOT make it a cool video... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

It was online before in hidden modus (pasword protected) and only a select few watched it, and gave some input on editing etc (Robert, DSE, Macca, Costyn etc). I uploaded the final version this afternoon, and put the video on public. It has only been online for 6 hours or so...11.5K views now...I think thats a record for sure... Robert, Boris and JNO wanted to show the video at the World Base Race this coming weekend, and thus decided we should post it online before they left their home (tomorrow morning). So a bit premature...but based on the 10.000 views in the last 6 hours..nobody is complaining. DSE I will shoot you a full-res version tomorrow for local presentations at the next PF event you are organizing JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Regardless of brand, make sure you choose a wingsuit that fits your wingloading. And demo different suits and models. Everyone thinks the suit they are flying is the best choice, as otherwise they wouldnt have bought that one. So be your own judge. Try and demo different products, and using them in the actual function (solo, flocking, aerobatics) you intent to use it for, to get a good and clear comparison. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

I dont think its egos...just safety in general.. To me its always funny many people brag about instruction, but when it comes to creating a universal standard, where every coach/instructor should showcase the didactic and flying skills needed for proper training, many people go into a big spaz. And some just seem to love to disagree for the sake of disagreeing.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

With a larger volume of people being trained, you will also see more accidents. Though they might stay the same statisticly. Though the recent advancements in wingsuitflying have also lead to a situation where you see people taking the material to lighthearted. And skipping important parts of the skydive and related safety checks and aspects can suddenly turn into lethal mistakes. Good training is important, and slowly working to create a more uniform and structured approach to that one is key safety aspect we need to work on. You may believe you are the most awesome instructor in the world, though you may or may not use the training method developed over many years and worked on by a lot of experienced and knowledgeable people in the sport. But Ive also met some of the worst, shittiest flyers in the world, and they also had that same view about their own horrid instructional and flying skills. Everyone is always the best he or she can be in his/her own mind. But unless we have a standard everyone adheres to, you will never know if all your students survive on skill and knowledge or sheer luck. And the list of minor and major incidents and accidents is long enough to show a more structured approach is needed. There is a lot of stuff that happens on big and small dropzones that never makes it to the little nerdfest some people hear see as the all-knowing center of the universe.. If a friend of yours picks someone to teach him/her to fly a wingsuit, wouldnt you want to know (similar to AFF, tandem etc) that the person who lists himself as an instructor/coach has the skills and knowledge to teach your beloved friend everything in a safe way? You are (again) the old man who doesnt like change. But as the dicipline (hidden from your eyes of course) keeps growing...we also need to work on overcoming the growing pains. And shaping up, and trying to work on a bit more structure and dicipline in the way its taught is an important step in that process. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Some of the newer flyers with only 50 to 60 wingsuit jumps fly a lot better (due to 3000 or so previous FS/FF jumps) than some of the rusty old-timers I hear talking on and on about the golden age, and how the sport went to shit when someone else besides them was doing it... VectorBoy should find a balcony, and do the nagging old folks comments on the muppetshow (only sadly without being funny or even just any good at it) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

A waterproof/resistant cover shouldnt be to hard to manufacture.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

There are several 'easy' photoshop methods. But for different suit versions, sizes etc a simple real life measurement like Deniq suggests, will be a lot quicker than takin pictures and resing/cuting/shaping in photoshop to measure. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
-
Nice and simple solution...not requiring any digital difficulties.. Buying some sheet of vinyl carpet (white/black blocks) should be easiest? Something like 2x2 meters, should fit any suit (for now) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

It would be nice to organise a competition at some point where only suits of a certain performance range are allowed, to have it be a really fair comparison of skill (and build). Saying an all-round class of S-Fly, Phantom, Shadow and suits of compareable performance envelopes. And a completely seperate 'big suit' catagory. For end of November we are talking about organising a Benelux Cup (Belgium/Holland) and it would be nice if we could find some catagories like these for a more fair comparison. Though difficult, as you have experience, suit size, build, wind conditions... we'd need to many catagories for a true comparison.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

If you click the individual track details for each jump, the suit details and graph come up.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Benedikt learning to fly the suit better (he had never jumped it before Gransee) and his weight/engine (tall and a tad heavier) also helped him in the upwind round, when compared to other flyers. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

The first round took a bit of time (editing-wise) due to the graphics, but now that this one is done, Ill be going through all the other rounds relatively quick (I should have em all online in 1 or 2 days). For starters, here is the round I was most excited about: The Free routines (Round6) Especially watch the free round from the Italian "Easy to Fly" for some awesome wacky (and flawless!) rodeo madness. And of course hope people like our (FlyLikeBrick) free routine as well! Check it out! 3rd Int.
