I think (for wingsuiters) the pose™ is just a nice variation to the look, I'm an idiot™ pose that almost everyone (ADMIT IT!!!) has given a camera at the DZ every 'once in a while'....(try and find a video with freeflyers in it who don't give a peace sign/rock-on sign/the tongue™ or an insane smile.. I was curious to who's coming to the 2004 Swedish Hercules Boogie. We'll be there with a small Dutch crew (sorry...we're not bringing any free cheese, drugs, tulips or mayonaise) I'm realy looking forward to it...!! So who else will be there? We could even set a dz.com 'birdman record' (next to a dozen other useless dz.com subrecords we could make up hehehe, biggest flock with dz.commers in red/white suits, biggest flock with dz.commers in yellow suits...:) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

How much did you spend on skydiving last year?

- About 4000/4500 euro's in jumps, taking 20 euro's as the average price (12.000 ft costs 25 euro's) - about 800 euro's (gas for my motorcycle, getting to/from the DZ) - 1100 euro's for a new cypress - 60 euro's for my gears year-check - 20 euro's for 6 month repack - 100 euro's (fabric for freefly suit my mom made me) So roughly 6000 euro's (which would now translate to about 7500 US $$$ Damn that's a lot of money.. Going to try and top that this year though...want to buy a GTI (BM suit), a new rig...going to Sweden and the USA (both for jumping) Damn I'n gonna be broke...hehe JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -
In Holland you need to wear a helmet (and a jumpsuit consisting of 1 piece, no seperate shirt/pants) untill you have your C licence. No ecceptions... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Quite amazing how a 300 used to be an extreme record, and now all of sudden a jump with 321/324 people in their slots is talked about in an almost disappointed way Most of us can only dream of being in something like this someday (when 300 ways become state or even local dropzone records) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

question about birdman design (logo's and stuff)

Heyhey, I'm working with a potential sponsor, and was wondering if it's possible to have a big logo sewn into the arm wings (like a canopy with a logo) I know some text/patches can be sewn onto the arms/legs itself, but since the wings are such a big area, I'd like to know if that was possible (but I couldn't find any info on that at bird-man.com) Anyone know or havy any experience with this?? A while ago someone posted a way cool picture of a big headdown formation, but there also was a pic of that same formation, being faked in front of a blue screen in a studio. With all the freeflyers hanging upside down from the cieling in front of a bluescreen, suspended by cables... I just clicked it away, but ever since I saw it it's been lurking in the back of my mind, and now I NEEED to know (to be able to sleep again) Whas that bluesscreen studio picture real or photoshopped, and if real (shot in the studio) then what was it for, and where can I read more about it...:) And in case nobody knows what I'm talking about....aarggh......I need to know...I want to sleep again... The Dutch news had a small blurb on the record. It wasn't too positive though. They basicly portraid the skydivers as a bunch of f*ckups, landing in trees, in the water and on roofs, and twisting ankles and breaking legs. They showed a few exits (looked pretty sweet) and a few nasty landings (all by people dressed in the same blue/yellow team-overals) hitting the ground pretty hard, getting cought in a tree and loaded into an ambulance... The Right Stuff also has some limited skydiving thrown in the mix near the end (yeager bailing out of his plane, freefalling while his face is burning) I think BJ Worth did those stunts (not sure, but I vaguely remember reading his name in the credits) JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

Also check the 'Die Schurken' freefly-team page. They show someone doing a backflip in a (the) skyvan while it's in a zero G-dive, and also has a few guys on the roof (outside) of the skyvan while it dives, and they just get 'left' at altitude while the plane dives away beneath them..cool/sick stuff JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? -
