QuoteThat my be true but there are also logs of what ever you look at. Now lets say that someone looks through those logs and some how finds that you were looking at a pic of boobies. You're missing the point, it's all about the rig!
-
Sorry I didn't have a full rear view of the rig!
-
Sorry, I kinda forgot about the girl, it's all about the rig!

I Lost My Old Rig and this is the last pic. in my camera. Any help would be appreciated. By the way there is a girl in the photo also.

Screw the Cubs, Go Red Socks!(any body but the billion dollar Yankees)
-
CUBS done! Adios pendejos!Don't blame it on a fan! The players lost the series. My girl is a Chicago fan too. Sucks to be her.

My current rigs are Javelin Oddyssey and Mirage, my first was a Racer (which I will never buy again). I've jumped Relative Work shop and Wings. To buy new again, I would probably buy a Wings because of price and delivery. I love the Oddyssey but would not wait the wait, the Mirage is nice but pricey, the vector is a pain to pack, and the Racer is, well, a Racer, update! If it were free and I could have a custom rig today, it would be the Javelin Oddyssey 1,Mirage 2, Wings 3. None else! Hope that helps.

I normally jump 6-10 jumps a day on weekends. My pro track/jump track is my log book!

High wingload/Low Jumps at your DZ (over 1.7)
jumperconway replied to base698's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
There are quite a few X-braced highly loaded canopies at my dz. One Xaos in the 2.2 range by a guy with less than 300 jumps. But I also think currentcy along with jump #'S is a more appropriate guage. I did 300+ jumps my first year and close to 600 each of the next 2 years and was jumping 1.7+ on a crossfire before 400 jumps. If you want to jump a H wingload at the dz the s&ta will watch and brief you to be safe. -
Initiating high performance landing with toggles?

Thank's Hook, That was a first. Surprised you haven't chimed in yet. -
Initiating high performance landing with toggles?
jumperconway replied to Hazarrd's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
QuoteThe short answer is this: During a front riser turn, the canopy will build up speed but when it stops turning it will decellerate. There is also no pendulum effect. I'm not sure how you do front riser turns but I get a LOT of pendulum effect in my hooks! -
Initiating high performance landing with toggles?
jumperconway replied to Hazarrd's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Sorry but at 100 jumps, you don't even understand your canopy unless you did those 100 in a month with expert supervision and debriefing after EVERY ONE. You should have atleast a few hundred more before contemplating HP landings. In other words wait for your brain to catch up with your stones! And I'm a lot nicer than what you're fix'n to hear! ------------------------------------------------ I don't suspect that anyone giving a canopy control class is going to give a 100 jump wonder a lot of info on HP landings. PD's site has valuble info on HP landings, some save your ass strategies before you and your canopy meet Mother Earth at the same time! Read it. -

OH SHIT! Another 100 jump incident about to happen! -
I think I said that. But thanks Ron for clarifying the canopy comparison.

Kolla, I can see the 170 vengence but wouldn't the stilletto virtually be a latteral move? And I agree that he should learn to fly the hornet before changing anything!

Twin Otter separataion anxiety
jumperconway replied to flyinchicken's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I didn't here about you complaining when you had our "other Otter" at your dz for a couple of weekends! -
Exactly what I meant but worded better. The most efficient swoop.

When I was newer I jumped an Omega 7 cell(very snivelly) then a Crossfire( again very snivelly) then a Xaos 21 cell(moderately snivelly until the reline, then very snivelly) now a Xaos 27 cell(snivelly). The longest snivel my protrack has ever recorded was under 700 feet. Even as long as I thought some were, my jump track usually says 350-500'.

Wendy, #1-Why were you posting here on a great jump day? #2-Before crossing a street, don't you look? If there is an unpleasant consequence for my lack of using common sense (looking before),as in crossing a street or sitting on the john, I should not be surprised by the consequences. Remember it's wrong to assume. It IS a lot like spotting!
-
I would think that when you hear that, they just mean that they guaged the altitude before they hook and got an awsome swoop with minimal togle and/or rear riser input to dig.
-
My Xaos 27-83 did it to me too but it was from the way I packed it. The right side got full inflation before the left and before I could chase it, multiple line twists! All I had to do was even up the risers and it was gone. When packing Xaos's I found the most consistant soft on heading openings are with the center cell pulled a couple of inches past the slider and feathering the other cells back into the pack job a little.

First Cutaway OR Why I hate Whuffo's! (Long)
jumperconway replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Glad to hear you survived! A word about line twists, with that much altitude the first thing to get out of the twist is to get your risers even if possible. That will stop the spin and give you time to assess what direction to kick. They don't call them a Spinnetto for nothing! -
The pics here show the almost completed formation before Quade got involved. http://www.raoulgravell.com . Also it has been indicated to me that Dan BC has agreed to help out next year for the whole event! I'm sure that it Will be had next year! Hopefully the bench will be a little deeper next year. I know quite a few very good jumpers that will be new to POPs next year!
