  1. power on/off would be a good feature...maybe a zoom would be nice, but i dont see a major need for that at all. Having pre-set fades/transitions would save some time in the editing room...if you could just push a button on your head/helmet and have said effect take place...unnecessary but could save time and would be cool.
  2. i'd suggest e-bay...i had a 25 dollar lense for over a year now...works perfect, although it is kind of huge on my camera...but all n all it works just fine.
  3. sorry it took me so long, but thanks for all the reply's. she's on the second story of a 2 story house...she uses radiator heating (i know it sucks, but it shoudn't suck this much ) and the people below her have some other sort of heater. I'll have her look into some of the things you all described. And about the window film, it's the first thing i told her to do, and she's had that since November.... Thanks again for all your responses though.
  4. a lot of people say this about bush too...but then i always chuckle when they say we should leave iraq and go to africa, to help the poor people there being killed by others....if you follow their logic, iraq isn't our problem, and we should leave, then why should we go into africa and help them??? Some of the big boys in the world need to be police, or the bullies in the world will go unchecked.
  5. i know she lives in a cold place, i've lived there for 23 years...but even heating a 2 story house to 75 only costs 150 on average...and the people who live below her have a $70/month bill...but then again that's where the landlord used to live. just wondering if there's a lil law for cold weather states that would make a landlord put in a heater that works...i saw something that stated they have to provide a heater capable of heating the house to 65 degrees...which i guess tech. this one could do, for about 850/month
  6. lol, well i figured before paying for advice i'd see what ppl here had to say about it, and if it seemed to be a bit off the wall, i'd ask some lawyer friends that i used to work with...
  7. so my gf just moved into a new appt...and everything was good, until she got her first heating bill. Having the temp set at 58 F her bill was over 300 bucks...thinking it was a shitty heating unit, she called and asked both the repair man for the housing unit and the company's repair guy (who made the heater). Both said the unit was "fine" just innefficient. So, she decides to use a space heater, but now the problem is that her and her roomate can only opperate 1 at a time before they blow a fuze, and even with the house temp set at 50 F the bill is over 250 bucks....my question is, is that even legal? She lives in WI fyi
  8. ft. sill aint bad (although i'm happy i'm only here for 6 months...being a Marine on an army base gets old) it's a drive, but skydive dallas has 2 otters and a caravan, one of the best packing areas/lounges i have ever seen (bunks and all), and pretty good people. not to mention the weather in TX is almost alawys good. but again, it's a bit of a drive
  9. okay, this is how it works.... when typing your reply/post, simply do this (url "the website here") the text you want to display here (/url) now wher i have () replace those with [] and it should work. Make sure you put the website in quotes and have a space after the first url (right before you have the " for your website)
  10. a new guy tryin to stay in shape.... so i just took my USMC PFT again, holy crap a couple weeks off from running and you lose some speed in the end. i plan on hittin the gym every other day, with running at least a mile or 2 on my "off" days. stupid christmas break
  11. Gossamer Threads i see, i was puting a [url="texthere"] clicky /url (in []) when i needed a space...thanks!
  12. hitting the record button (i'm sure we've all done that one once...or i hope so...haha)
  13. so how do you all make the links go from http://lotsofuselesssh!there.com to "clicky" i know how to do the url, how do you make it custom? If you could pm me i'd appreciate it
  14. i think that would be cool as hell to see, but what about the burbles?? ever see the kids toy that would go from flat to planet like kinda like the picture looks...wonder if there's a way to start off flat and "expand" to make the planet formation?? what do i know, the most time i spend belly flying is doing a tandem video
  15. I do agree with your advantages, however, no matter how many of my videos or past jumps have been tandem videos, most dz's i go to for a first time still make you do a "practice" jump with a non video buyer to see how good you are...i can just see some people getting the rating, not doing videos, and because of the rating go to a new dz a year later and signing up to do videos...and possibly cause some of the same problems as the new camera flyers
  16. No, if you do get into debt and can't end up paying it off, you will ruin your credit. if you ruin your credit, new gear is the least of your worries. i got a 2nd job and that paid for my new gear when i got it...not skydiving fortunatly pays for a lot of skydiving expenses. however, i've spent much more than i've made
  17. my dad won 4 free tickets to that game....needless to say i'm pissed about the loss, but it was a good game
  18. i just got back from skydive dallas, had a blast there, and it's worth the 3 hour drive from OK....although i thought TX would be a lil warmer than it was, it still beats a WI jump in Jan.
  19. with all this copywrite stuff, you should see what the military does with some of it's videos it takes from hollywood
  20. or if you are in the military and have been to those parts...."me love you long time"
  21. well, i'm all moved into my new house here in OK, and i'm plannin on making the long haul to skydive dallas either this weekend or next weekend depending on the weather. Lookin forward to meeting new people, and seen as how my e-mail wasn't answered, if anyone from skydive dallas knows if they need any vidiots, i'm lookin for a lil extra work. And if not, i'm sure to have a good time. And yes, this is a bit of a post whore on my part
  22. my roomate had skype, it was an amazing product...just make sure you have reliable internet
  23. a gun is a tool...dont blame the tool for the actions of the person behind the tool. Yes, they make killing easy, but the people determine how to use the tool. Take all of the law abiding citizens guns away, and the criminals will be the only one with guns. It doesnt matter what laws are in place, if you are deranged enough to want to kill someone with a gun, you'll be able to get a gun, most likely illegally. Not to mention that if you really wanna kill somebody, and can't get a gun, you'll still find a way to kill them. There's no such thing as a perfect society, and life is inherently dangerous. Now i'm just rambling.
