Howdy All, Just wondering if anybody's coming to the Canadian Nationals this year. They're gonna be at Eden North in Alberta. I think Provincials are Aug 10/11, with a training week/boogie the following week, and the Nationals the following weekend. Not sure, but I think it'll be two Caravans for aircraft, which is a helluva luxury to most Canadian DZs. Anyways, it should be a good time, hope to see ya there

I was ditching an old busted keyboard at work, and grabbed the letters to spell 'jump', and epoxyed them to the front of my lid. Always on the lookout for some good stickers too. I got nuthin

I think its a little late to ask people on here why we skydive...It's just what we do. Maybe, why did we start, or why did we stay in the sport, would be more appropriate questions. I jump because the DZ is my home when I don't have to work. And work...that's the thing that pays for my trips to the DZ. It's a vicious circle I tell ya I got nuthin

The JMs and TMs at my old DZ had some good ones. Hooking the S/L to the next student's 3-ring, or giving it to the pilot and saying 'now don't let go this time!!!' The best is the briefing of the tandem student on clouds: 'If the clouds are thick enough, they'll slow us down. If they're real thick, we might stop, then I'll unhook you, we'll walk to the edge, hook back up and jump.' I got nuthin

I find this real interesting cause I just decided to change where I hang my rig. There are a lot of bad stories about my home DZ, but it wasn't untill I got out to some new ones that I realized what I was seeing there wasn't normal. I won't really call the new DZ my 'home' yet, cause I've only been there two weekends, but it seems like a real nice place, with some really great people. I got nuthin

I was just thinking that today. It's the most beautiful Sunday afternoon I've seen in a long time, and I'm chasing statics out at 3500 cause there aren't enough people to fill a high load. WTF is up with that?!?!?! I got nuthin

I'm not sure, but that looks like a bottle of Labbat's Blue on the fridge in the top right corner. A little clue that the guilty party is a Canuck. I got nuthin

Just got back from Canadian Skydive Center, for the Canada Day Boogie. Great time, first boogie, first jump out of a big plane (Caravan), and a helluva good time. Thanks to all the folks at CSC for a great weekend

The wallpaper on my office PC is that Despair thing with a picture of a 12-way star that says "Idiocy-Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." Since everybody at work thinks I'm crazy for jumping, it works quite well

I was thinking of using a pot to set it...In what way are they un-reliable? Is it due to temp/pressure changes, or simply wind moving the dial? Whuffo you sit on that couch all day? Roger I got nuthin

I was thinking sensor to a couple of compatators (one on either side of the window), then logic triggering an oscillator with a speaker on the end. Havn't put too much thought into the circuit though, right now I want to see what kind of sensor output I'll be dealing with. Whuffo you sit on that couch all day? Roger I got nuthin

Howdy, I'm thinking for a little project I'm gonna try and make myself a dytter. Anybody know what I should look for in a pressure transducer, like range, response time, and the like? This is just something I'm gonna mess around with, but I'd like make one that actually works Whuffo you sit on that couch all day? Roger I got nuthin

It's been way too long: A) since I've had a number in the first column B) since payday C) since I've jumped. Well, I can damb sure fix one of those this weekend, hopefully two. Come hell or high water I'm jumping. It looks like I'm bussing it to a town about 30 minutes out from the DZ. I can't get ahold of anybody from there, so as it stands now I'm hitch-hikin from Airdrie, which SUCKS!!!! Last time it took me about an hour, and I walked a good ways. I didn't have my own gear to lug around then either. Please wish me luck on getting a ride before it gets dark and the wolves come out. Whuffo you sit on that couch all day? Roger
