  4. I second that. 321seeya's post seems a little trollish to me, but I'm probaby wrong. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  5. What constitutes a "good" plane? I thought a good plane was a well maintained airplane that you can jump out of. Oh jaco, get ready to get flamed again. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  6. I have 3 Windline Jumpsuits and a pair of the freefly pants - they all are awesome. Excellent customer service. They made the suits for our 4-way team and they must have been blessed or something because they are magical. I have never been able to fly as good as I can in my new rw suit. 9. I've going on 8 years in the sport. I don't ever want to quit but I do slow down. Some years I make 300 jumps some years I made 150. I enjoy skydiving. I don't like the politics or the organization that "governs" us, but I won't let them win. I jump because I like to jump. Sometimes its a big-way or hardcore 4-way and sometimes it might be a solo or 2-way cause I just want to fall and sometimes its AFF or a coaching jump. I refuse to become a snob and only show up for the "big" airplane or when the "click" is going to be there. As of right now, I don't plan on quitting. I love skydiving, and most of the people. Skydiving is becoming more commercialized and less of the club mentality and its sad but I will make the best of what I have for as long as I can. 10. It must be for a manifest position at a dz, but then again you said the pay was good so maybe not. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

    Do you?

I ask everyone that walks on the dz if they are they to do a skydive (unless they have a beer in their hand or are obviously over the tandem weight limit). I know some are not but, when I can, I try to make everyone feel welcome, unless I don't like them . When new jumpers show up, I try to introduce them to as many of the other jumpers as possible because I may be too busy to jump with someone or if they do that freeflying thing, I'm not very good at that and they probably don't want to jump with me. Unfortunately, IMO, with skydiving becoming so commercialized (i.e. coaches instead of mentors), I guess in the future the only place you will be greeted at Wal-Mart. 12. Was there cowboys eating pudding in that movie? Cutway was, well, just not exactly that good. See you on flightline. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

  15. Windline has never done me wrong yet. They just made our 4-way team comp suits and its probably all in our heads, but we can turn better, faster and the suit just flys better for me and my team. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  16. We are flying one in from South Carolina for you and Brent. But I think she may be too much for the both of you. Started making the jello shots - do you have any room in your frig? Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  17. He went deaf because of all the pain killers he was taking. Same thing happened to a girl I work with now ex-husband. Had a bit of a vicodin problem and lost his hearing and now gets fricking disability payments. Judy I can't remember the name of the condition, but he had surgical implants which restored a percentage of his hearing. Yeah I'm sure he had the bionic ear put in just like the girl at works ex-husband. His deafness was still a result of his abuse of pain killers. Oh yeah, BYW, we are all paying for it now cause he gets a disability check. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  18. But I read that he asked his housekeeper for a couple pills because her husband was taking them. I was under the impression he was not prescribed these drugs by a doctor. Of course I got that info from the media so its probably not true. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  19. Your parents did that to you too? I played with every sick kid in our town. Not even a cough. Then when I got them in 9th grade I thought they were pimples, so needless to say, I have a few minor scars. Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  20. I get the flu about every other year. Usually after everyone else is done with it. I tend to get sick when the majority are not. In fact, I had the chicken pox in 9th grade. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  21. The shot nurse is coming by the office today and I haven't decided whether or not to get the flu shot. What do you guys think? Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

  23. I ended up as DATA from Star Trek. How come no one else got DATA. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  24. But Ron, if you look at my post above and checked out the DZO Bulletin from August, they pulled rating and memberships for "illegal" student jumps, regardless of location. So if we want to keep our individual membership we have to follow the rules. Example: I have an AFF rating. If I disregard the BSR's, say at a group member dropzone my rating and membership can be pulled, but it appears, according to that bulletin, only the individuals were penalized, not the dropzone. Hypothetical situation: Let's say the USPA decides okay, we will penalize (fine) the gm dz's for violating BSR's (usually violated by a jumper). All I see happening is the DZ dropping its Group membership and not paying the fine. I am assuming all that has been taken into consideration by the USPA, which is why Group Member DZ's are not penalized. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
  25. Yes we are. And as the rules state a non USPA DZ must pay to have a USPA class heald at their DZ. I think what the artical is trying to inforce is that as a individual member you need to make sure that you are doing what you have agread to do and that a DZ or S&TA (who might have made a mistake in telling you some thing) can not forse you to break the BSR's. Some ppl don't even bother to read the "rules" they rely on others to inturpret them for them. Sorry to hear that you will have to pay more because your DZ is not a member. But I don't think that it is unfair. I do however think it would be unfair if I paid my dews so that a DZ that didn't want to pay could benifit from what I and other DZ's pay for. It is like going and getting insurance affter you had an acedent and geting them to cover it than canceling the policy. Just my thoughts though. Instructor/coach ratings are a individual membership benefits, not a group member benefit, so they should not be able to dictate what it costs. The group membership committee, NOT the safety and training committee brought up these "fees", Ratings and their courses are covered by the Safety and Training committee, not the Group Membership Committee, so it appears the Group Membership Committee over stepped their bounds by bringing Motion #33 to the table. Hell if you get a rating and jump at a group member dz and break a rule, it appears, by that bulletin, that only instructor is penalized and not the dropzone, even though the DZ signed a pledge to abide by the rules. I see a double standard here. Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
