    Aikdo. Hurt shoulder, quit cause it was my deployment arm. It was alot of fun, great atmosphere and teachers. And hey, nothing like being able to "throw" a guy twice your size. I tried Tae Kwon Do, but the guy turned into a used car salesman and tried to sell me $800.00 worth of lessons. I explained that I skydive and won't be around much in the summer and he said he knows what it cost to skydive and this is more important.     I actually like the number of years in the sport. If someone has 200 jumps but over 20 years, it will make a difference on how I view their advise (skydiving - not general talk). Or why they think that way. With the number of years in the sport and number of jumps, you can generally tell if someone is not being completely truthful.     I expect my packer to shorten, replace or lengthen my closing as they see fit. If I don't trust them, they don't pack for me. Change in climate can change how my canopy packs up. Example, if I go from a dry climate to a humid climate, my main packs up smaller and my closing loop appears/is too long and vice versa. Don't sweat it. Most packers are really looking out for your best interest cause if you get hurt or get a bad pack job, you probably won't give them any more of your business.     again, Jan, you are making fun of the people on the website which you have done in the past on rec.dot and is why this thread turned so ugly. I hate to see people who willingly participate in something then go and bash it. Not even constructively. One question for you Jan, why did you participate in All-women events if don't like the way the events are handled and by your posts, you don't appear to be into the "girl" things.     Wow! For someone who has participated in JFTC, you sure aren't very supportive of its cause or the rest of the participates and supporters. Jan, if you don't want to raise money or participate then don't. There really is no need to bash anyone trying to raise money for a good cause. Maybe breast cancer isn't a good enough cause for you but it is for me. When I committed to the team the last 2 times, I understood that this is a FUNDRAISER. My understanding was to raise funds for our charity, which involved me asking/begging people for donations. I have been involved for fundraisers for various different charities and asking and begging for donations seems to be the norm.     My life is worth the cost of a main should it not be found, a cypres should I land in water, or a whole set up. I've heard of people not wanting to chop because they didn't have the money for a repack. I told that person they really don't ever need to jump if you life isn't worth the cost of a repack.     Well, as of this morning I don't see any evidence of my gophers returning - no new holes and no dead plants. Though I don't know if one day is long enough to tell if it's working... I did see some mole pellets when I bought the gopher pellets (from Lowe's), so that might be worth a shot... if you're not opposed to killing them, of course... I've tried the pellets, and I think it just made is stronger. Last night we went up and down a few of its trails with the pitch fork. I don't know if that worked or not, I will see when I get home.     I'm so glad you brought up this thread because I need a little help with the cruise thing too. Here is my situation: I HAVE to go on a 7 day cruise for my brother-in-laws wedding in the beginning of October (so much for going to Nationals). Yes, I realize that is hurricane season, don't know if they did though. I have never in my entire life ever wanted to go on a cruise. Now I'm being told I have to go and we have to pay for it. So now you know my attitude about this crap, I need all the warm and fuzzy's about cruising. I have 6 months to adjust my attitude and get excited about it. The boat we are going on leaves from New Orleans, goes to Jamica, Cayman and Cozymel. Carnival Conquest. One more problem, I also get car sick on the way to the dz and I alcohol makes my physically ill - even a little. Help! Was your mother as horrified as mine was when she heard you say it that way for the first time and didn't realize you were wrong? I still laugh about it.     You should order a couple USPA 2004 calendars from them. A friend ordered one recently and it was 2 for 1 so she gave us the other one. The months of calendar go as follows: March April March April May June July August September October October January (2005) and no, I didn't studder.     I stopped rollerblading cause I was scared I would get hurt and couldn't skydive. I wanted to be Martha Stewart before I started skydiving, so I gave up wanting to be all domestic and crafty and stuff. I also gave up cleaning (as often).     Many people drag their toes when landing. Its not necessarily a mistake or bad decision , but a rock, twig, or anything could snag that toe or toe nail (which I have seen many times) and rip it right off or break the toe(s).     Why? He probably has the same opinion of Gays. Should they be sterilized too? why I think they should be sterilized is because people like that only breed to teach hate and intolerace. Homosexuals, in general, don't breed. Some do adopt and some go about it other ways, but from what I've seen from those that do have children, they don't teach them hate, they don't teach them intolerance and in the case of adoption they EARN their right to be parents.
