I don't see that. That's because you are a praiser of the Mirage. From my point of view, as a jumper of the Javelin, I see it as a sunpath bashing, my rig is better than yours, and I know you are but what am I, kinda thread. It's a great theory, if it really applied to skydiving. The instructors at a dz will have more impact on what the new jumper buy than just (don't mean anything bad by "just) a fun jumper. Well, at least that's my theory. And most manufactures will give you a discount if you order 4 identical rigs - or at least same colors for staff, but that is not always feasible and doable for 4 staff at the same time. Now the Elsinore fire was different than all these sponsored people. I can't state for fact, but would be willing to bet most, if not all, had paid for the burnt up rig originally. Does it irratate anyone else the rig/canopy manufactures give away equipment to what seems like a very large amount of people, and make the rest of us pay for it when we PURCHASE new equipment. I have no problem with them sponsoring 1 RW team, 1 Freefly, etc. but its seems like every tom, dick and harry are "sponsored". Who is picking up bill? Maybe if they cut down on the freebees, the rest of us wouldn't have to pay so much. Just a thought. Judy Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

This hole thread has turned into a sunpath bashing, Praise Mirage thread. I have issues with the Mirage rig that I asked Mirage about, but never got a response, so I have ordered a Javelin. If you want to start bashing the rig companies I believe there is a review section under Gear for everyone to state their opinion that has actually jumped one. Judy Should we now debate Ford vs. Chevy? and no, I'm not sponsored in anyway by Sunpath. I pay my way. Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

But if you are not doing the my brand is better than yours why did you state that Mirage is the only rig for you, and you have never jumped anything else. Not so much anymore but I used to. Every song I heard, sang about skydiving - actually this still happens. When I did some 4-way in AZ, we would go to dinner and sit in our slots. Then the other girl said, do you ever feel like you have your booties on and point your toes to check? then she said do you ever try to unzip your arm pocket on your work clothes?
