1. They can use the tax free status of the religion to fund raise and organize 2. They are already organized and use the top down hierarchy to drive votes and ideas. 3. They use the righteousness of their position to demonize democracy. 4. They have a voting turnout rate of 89%(evangelical Christians) v about 75% for democrats. 5. They cast aside values and integrity for political power. aka trump and the USSC. 6. They use the Sunday pulpit to demonize "socialism". 6. Democrats are just not prepared to compromise values like Christians are.Until they do they will lose.

Powerful speech by Biden on the assault on Democracy
Phil1111 replied to JoeWeber's topic in Speakers Corner
Everyone is being far to hard on him. Just put yourself in the position of a typical Florida republican. You believe the party line. You distrust government. You're inclined to believe conspiracy theory. Because everyone naturally acts to cover up the truth. Only those with skeptical minds will see through such coverups. Simple. -

You and Bill Barr, puppets for trump. Mueller spent almost 200 pages describing “numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump Campaign.” He found that “a Russian entity carried out a social media campaign that favored presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and disparaged presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.” He also found that “a Russian intelligence service conducted computer-intrusion operations” against the Clinton campaign and then released stolen documents. While Mueller was unable to establish a conspiracy between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians involved in this activity, he made it clear that “[a] statement that the investigation did not establish particular facts does not mean there was no evidence of those facts.” In fact, Mueller also wrote that the “investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts.” Refusing to testify or answer questions is prima facie. How Bill Barr Turned the Justice Department Into a Cover-up Operation for Trump trump and the GOP took the US from 18th to 27th on the world corruption rankings. -
Because they have no curiosity and they have built walls around core beliefs.

Yes after all how can the right recognize what they did was evil. Was to license an attack on a 82 year old man in his own home. Much better to spin the B.S. as it goes down the hole to all the eager rabbits.Their big ears ready to listen and accept it all. The picture above was posted on Instagram by trump along with the captioned joke “Got my Paul Pelosi Halloween costume ready.” -

Hence the legitimate belief that we're all doomed and a case of Scotch is the only remedy. -
Ron and Brent. Mo guns, less law, more narcissistic individualism.

Never get into a verbal fight with an anarchist. They will drag you down to their level. Then regardless of fact they win. Because for them there are no rules.

So you think that degree of trumpism, DeSantism, McConnellism can be deprogrammed? After he does his time why not ship him to Florida. Where that degree of political radicalism is celebrated. Hell 20 years from now he will probably have been pardoned by trump. Made a national hero by DeSantis. Be parade master in the US south. Speaking of McConnell and trump: "During a radio interview on the conservative John Fredericks Show, the former president lambasted the GOP leader, later calling for McConnell's impeachment and accusing him of working with Democrats to blow up the debt ceiling because "they have something on him." (Trump did not specify what he meant by this.) "It's crazy, what's happening with this debt ceiling. Mitch McConnell keeps allowing this to happen. They ought to impeach Mitch McConnell, if he allows that. ... They have something on him, how he approves this thing is incredible." — Former President Donald Trump -
Fifty years ago the government was fighting evil, communism and the government was always right. Today conservatives have branded socialists as evil and those socialists are democrats, the government.

Distrust of government is an acid on democracy. The distrust is strengthened by disinformation, fraudulent litigation about elections. In a week a new torrent of false claims, litigation and righteous indignation is coming. Yes you're screwed and the stacked SC will be free come January. -
Gotta hand the genius to Musk. Overpay for a platform overloaded with bots. Then charge users $8 a month to receive the tremendous benefit. To think that they are seeing some real people among all the bots.

Herschel Walker (R): “Why don’t [Obama] go back to wherever he’s from?” For republicans a mirror is unnecessary. Pandering to the base crashes all color barriers.

Just reduced to $8 to show compassion.

The Wharton MBA doesn't cover topics of calculating cost of inventory using FIFO, or LIFO. Of how that would effect quarterly profits. Or that other costs besides inventory would effect profits. jakee "Do not argue with a crackerbox MBA. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience." I keep forgetting if the MBA is from Wharton or a cracker jack box. But the logic is the same.

Thats because for trump victimhood is a big part of his identity.

He is so giddy with big oils latest quarter. All the latest Truth social forecasts of a total defeat of democrats in midterms. That he can hardly contain himself. So dreams of another 182 to add to his fleet and another Mercedes. Is all too much for his mind to focus on trolling.

Oh good. I was starting to worry that the UK would stop providing black humor for its former colonies. For some in the colonies a sense of superiority is enabled by such pandering to the MUKGA (Make UK Great Again) crowd.

Crap. You've got at least 50 points on Brent . Yet he sucked you in again. Come on Joe cut back on that rum. Save some for your shipmates.

Good riddance to that fu#ker. He messed up the Olympics.Messed up any covid response.Messed up the economy. Bulldozed the rain-forest. Equally as bad as trump.

It looks like its started already. From the chief twit, or perhaps King twit. Hillary Clinton : posted a tweet assailing Republicans for spreading “hate and deranged conspiracy theories” that she said had emboldened the man who attacked Ms. Pelosi’s husband, Paul, inside the couple’s home in San Francisco early Friday. Elon responded by tweeting “There is a tiny possibility there might be more to this story than meets the eye” and then shared a link to an article in the Santa Monica Observer. The article alleges that Mr. Pelosi was drunk and in a fight with a male prostitute.

Another upside down thing to affirm our pretentiousness
Phil1111 replied to JoeWeber's topic in Speakers Corner
Yeah. The Mormon church has $100 billion in real estate including 1.75 million acres of farmland(WSJ reporting). Recently reported they took $1 billion in donations from Canada and transferred it to the US. -

Fake art, fake wine, etc. All designed to separate the pretentious from their money. As such they serve a public service.
