Innocent children need protection only until they are born. After that guns need protection from liberals.

Evidently according to the Elon standard of CEO leadership. His personal safety isn't that important after all. The twitter vote supersedes that and he is reinstating their access to the platform. No word yet on the @ElonJet account holder.i.e. upholding his earlier promise not to ban him. I wonder if we held a vote for free Tesla Model S Plaid cars if he would be forthcoming.

So would I. What he has done with SpaceX is brilliant. Prior to twitter I thought the same about him. But he has now gone full attention whore. He has no central philosophical or political ideology. He's like trump that way. He's gone completely impulsive. He does have Asperger's Syndrome(self admitted) so I cut him some slack.

Seems all so very cartoonish...so Presidential... so MAGA republican. trump alternates from fundraiser after scam. "Former U.S. President(link to this story) Donald Trump’s non-fungible token (NFT) digital trading card collection sold out early Friday, the day after its initial release. According to data from OpenSea, at time of writing, the collection’s trading volume is 900 ETH, or about $1.08 million. Its floor price is about 0.19 ETH, or about $230 – more than double the original price of $99. Some tokens are selling for much higher prices. The one-of-ones, the rarest of the NFTs, which comprise 2.4% of the 45,000 unit collection (roughly 1,000), are selling for as much as 6 ETH at the time of writing. One of these rare trading cards, of the 45th president standing in front of the Statue of Liberty holding a torch, is currently listed at 20 ETH, or about $24,000. According to data from Dune Analytics, nearly 13,000 users minted 3.5 tokens upon the release of the collection. Additionally, 115 customers purchased 45 NFTs, which is the minimum number of tokens that guarantees a ticket to a dinner with Trump; 17 people purchased 100 NFTs, which, according to the Trump Trading Card site, was the maximum quantity allowed to mint. However, additional metrics from Dune show that other wallets held far more." In case anyone had doubts that the end is near. This confirms it.

Yes and no. Media and companies that operate in the public space must conform to laws, restrictions, etc. That restricts conduct that would cause harm to the public and to others. Where they disseminate information or originate information. That is false, disruptive, or harmful to religious groups, or segments of society that are marginalized. i.e. Broadcast standards laws.

Well the EU appears to have a different view. "European Union lawmakers have wasted no time warning Twitter-owner Elon Musk over “arbitrary suspension of journalists” following reports late yesterday that a number of reporters who had recently written about Musk had had their Twitter accounts suspended without warning. Věra Jourová, an EU vice-president for values and transparency, took to Twitter this morning to tweet the bloc’s concern over Musk’s actions — and to issue a pointed warning of “red lines” and “sanctions” baked into recently updated EU rules for digital services which she noted require respect for media freedom and fundamental rights." The EU is quite diligent in fining companies for breaches of EU laws and freedoms. 'On Wednesday, Twitter issued what had appeared to be a permanent ban on @ElonJet, a bot account that used publicly available data to track the locations of Musk’s personal private jet, a Gulfstream G700. That’s despite Musk’s previous claim that he would not shut down the account. “My commitment to free speech extends even to not banning the account following my plane, even though that is a direct personal safety risk,” the billionaire tweeted Nov. 6," The journalists who were banned have admitted writing critical stories about Elon recently. None of which disclosed his "personal location". Elon seems to flip flop on policy depending on what day of the week it is.

Everyone knows that trump hates criticism. That criticism often leads to a vendetta and a will for payback. Well it looks like Elon Musk through his twitter franchise is going the same way. He has now taken to banning journalists without explanation. Twitter Suspends Accounts of Half a Dozen Journalists "The accounts suspended included Ryan Mac of The New York Times; Drew Harwell of The Washington Post; Aaron Rupar, an independent journalist; Donie O’Sullivan of CNN; Matt Binder of Mashable; Tony Webster, an independent journalist; Micah Lee of The Intercept; and the political journalist Keith Olbermann." Who knew it was so easy! Just buy the company. Elon Musk is using the Twitter Files to discredit foes and push conspiracy theories Move aside Brent, Elon's ego needs more room in the rabbit hole.

Stalin killed six to nine million Russians. So Putin has quite a ways to go. In April 2019, a Levada center poll revealed that 70% of Russians approve of Stalin's role in Russian history, the highest ever recorded, and that 51% viewed Stalin in a positive light. Revisionism of history in Russia i.e. Nationalist leaders often weaponize the past to justify their present aims. But the Russian president’s narrative appears to be directed at an audience of one. Has always been popular. In order to establish Putin's legacy many more Russians will grow up without fathers. Russian state propaganda now frames the war as a matter of survival of the motherland. Its Russia against NATO. NATO wants to destroy Russia. So the war will go on for a long time.

Makes sense. You're an engineer and logic predominates your thinking. For some people emotion, "gut feelings", etc. predominate. Thats not to say emotion doesn't sway your decision making. Only that the dominate decision focus is usually a rational pro v. con process.

Makes sense here are the top motivators for buyers that top salesmen use to sell everything from new cars to snake oil. If you listen to a Sunday evangelical love fest. They will be all there Here are 8 motivations that move customers to buy. To enhance their status. ... To make a dream come true. ... To make amends. ... To be defiant. ... To feel good. ... To feel safe. ... To forget our problems. ... To make a statement.

Thanks for your personal sacrifice. Appreciated. Ten seconds of FOX is all I can stand. Just seeing Tucker Carlson's face is enough. It's tough to get through a full post from our own Brent.

In related news. Russia under the enlightened leadership of Putin. Using the broadcasts of FOX news and Chinese communist media. Is winning the war with its hands tied behind its back. Its kicking NATO's ass and humiliating Biden. "Spinning together a counternarrative for tens of millions of viewers, Russian propagandists plucked clips from American cable news, right-wing social media and Chinese officials. They latched onto claims that Western embargoes of Russian oil would be self-defeating, that the United States was hiding secret bioweapon research labs in Ukraine and that China was a loyal ally against a fragmenting West. Day by day, state media journalists sharpened those themes in emails. They sometimes broadcast battlefield videos and other information sent to them by the successor agency to the K.G.B. And they excerpted and translated footage from favorite pundits, like the Fox News host Tucker Carlson, whose remarks about the war were shown to millions of Russians." In WW2 Japan had Iva Toguri, AKA Tokyo Rose. Today Putin has Tucker Carlson.

The US war college will be leaning a class a week off what they are discovering from this war.

Well at $3 million a shot the Patriot isn't the end all. Agree with Joe. Perhaps 1000 of the older M1 tanks would help. There are over 2600 of the older M1s in storage now. As long as Ukraine promises not to take Moscow with them. One way or another Putin has to learn that striking Ukrainian infrastructure is a losing proposition for him. Otherwise he and his new Ayatollah buddy will just keep trading arms. Given the performance of Russian technology nuclear weapon technology to Iran will be next. These are the newer ones; U.S. approves potential sale $3.75 billion of M1A1 Abrams tanks to Poland

Putin, Kim, Ali Khamenei, type mass murders, yes.

Que climaxing music...... Musk has started his descent. He is entering the warrens where dems fear to tread. But not our own Brent. He's been down there a while. But he has never gone as deep as Slim King. Or even Ron.

"Forget yachts and private jets. The new status symbol in today’s world is a second passport, or at least a second residency abroad." So Joe's yacht and fleet of A/C have nothing on you!! Comparing Taxes with Citizenship by Investment can be The Zero-Tax Citizen: Tax-Friendly Second Passports

More inspiration from trump and America. Peru's Pedro Castillo tried a coup. Except in Peru congresscritters really do whats right. He was impeached and jailed immediately. Like trump this president was a populist. He also promised to look after the little guy. Don't they all?

A Canadian, an American, an Englishman, and an Irishman walk into a bar. Each one orders a pint. Four flies land, one on each glass. The Canadian refuses to pay for his beer, American gags and pushes his drink away. The Englishman shrugs, flicks the fly away, and drinks his beer. The Irishman picks up the fly, shakes it up and down, and shouts, "Spit it out, fucker!"

Well even if its a lump of coal. Have a merry Christmas anyway.

I thought it was more like Putin goosed him up the ass. Except that you can see both of Putin's hands.
-
I had to check that bottom picture out because I was sure it was photoshopped. Nope. Well that was back in the good old days for Putin. Killing his enemies with impunity. A US president in his back pocket. Now suffering from Ukraine-syndrome. His $700 million yacht seized by Italy. He has to guzzle champagne and brag about shelling civilians to stroke his ego.

Well for some things its best to be set in your ways. Integrity, standing up to bullies and the rights of the vulnerable. When others waiver in the face of proper and righteous decisions. You must stand firm. To your point, positive change is good. Open to new ideas that present positive solutions, also good.
