  1. Rhetorical I assume? Over 900 YouTube videos spouting nonsense, conspiracy and lies all tied together. For which a lobotomy is required to view should suggest more are upcoming.
  2. I'm with you, Bill and Jerry. But in a democracy if someone knows the issues and isn't motivated by a narcissistic self interest. Then my very important vote may get cancelled out by that other vote. You vote may get cancelled out by Brent. But thats why they call it a democracy. I get pissed when the ignorant get some idea that is wrong, obviously wrong. Yet they make no effort to learn the facts. To not let facts govern their thinking. As per the other thread a Trump win would be a four year sh*tshow. A cabal of aspiring fascists like the one envisioned by Trump and FOX. Can't and won't wreck America. Its still four months to elections. Likely several lifetimes in US politics. Should Trump win, since thats proof there is obviously no god. I suggest several cases of that El Dorado? rum you like so much. Its going to be rough seas.
  3. Everyone votes a certain way for one or a couple most important reasons. For some its strictly personal gain. i.e. libertarians who want the government to have no more than ten percent of GDP of the whole economy. Others would prefer the Scandinavian types of government where the government is 55% of the whole economy. A voters ideals of the greater good is not necessarily more social programs. But what they know as ideal based upon sound personal research, debate, facts and personal integrity. Those who want to subvert such understandings, democratic actions through electoral fraud, propaganda, etc. Are the antithesis of the greater good of a just, upstanding citizen. IMO. I applaud your thinking.
  4. Chaos and anarchy is the result of all that. But in the end the one or two right wing hardliners on the USSC have still shot down ALL of Trump's nutty cases that made it to them from the last "stolen" election. Go to the fridge, grab a beer, a week from now the perspective will be clearer.
  5. Trump in the end will likely make America stronger. Xi and Putin have weakened their respective countries more than any leaders since WW ll. The US has the strongest economy, the reserve currency, is the leader in technology, food and fuel independent. Trump has exposed weakness and flaws in the political system. This idiot shooter who may be called a patriot by some. In fact will likely galvanize support for Trump and likely hand Trump re-election. Whatever damage Trump inflicts during a second term can be undone. The radical ideas of disbanding entire federal agencies is fatally flawed. The GOP may need to change its name and entire philosophies after a second Trump term. But America, like a aircraft carrier can turn around, change direction because its a democracy. Not a dictatorship or kingdom ruled by cliques or elites. It will find its way.
  6. I hear where you're coming from. But IMO that type of rhetoric is not necessary. As Brent and BIGUN have oft repeated a Trump win is not the end of America. The US political class are all calling out how terrible and dark this event was. Yet nobody called out Trump for threatening violence. Threatening violence, also know as intimidation needs to be pursed by law enforcement and the courts.
  7. Pennsylvania is a hotbed for political radicalization in America. The shooter was a registered republican. A recent poll showed 10% of Americans believe political violence is justified to prevent Trump from becoming president, so 33 million Americans. Eight percent of Americans were in the process of arming themselves in anticipation of political violence. Another 14% felt that a civil war was likely in the next couple years. mmmmm OTOH Shooter a republican, two days before the RNC convention, used a AR-15 the favorite gun of the GOP, Trump a former TV reality showman/actor.
  8. For shame, for shame, shame, shame. Calling for political violence at a time like this. Even though he is a convicted criminal he has a son.
  9. How long till the fundraising starts? "I took one for you! Surely you can donate $10k, 20k 50K to me, go to my website now." Will Trump do anything to help out or sympathize with the families of the rally injured and killed? Not likely. How long for him to blame Biden as the instigator? Yeah I'm cynical when Trump is concerned. I feel sorry for the family of the spectator killed and the guy injured. Hopefully he can make a full recovery. The pox on the shooter. Trump may get some sympathy or worse sympathy votes.
  10. A cruel irony that the politician who has called for violence and unlawful acts the most is now the victim.
  11. It appears as if two bullets grazed Trump's face from an assassination attempt.
  12. Hmmmm the motto of MAGA republicans.
  13. Agree but his base is dwindling at a slow rate. Most are driven by a few core principals which are aligned with Trump. As been stated many times most voters don't like either candidate. So the turnout will be determined by interest and devotion to those principals of the motivated. Given the stakes its hard to conceptualize why any voter would lose interest. But thats human nature. One editorial in the NYT today is entitled "Republicans will regret a second Trump win ". I never read it but the carnage to the party of a win relating to "2025" principals is obvious.. Many republicans have given up on the current leadership of the GOP and fallen into the camp like yourself, Jerry, Liz Cheney, et al.
  14. Biden has had fewer press conferences than most any president in recent history. His staff and his age had kept him hidden away over the last 31/2 years. His VP could have been out hammering Trump and praising the many accomplishments of Biden. But presidents don't like to be overshadowed by their running mates. Biden could have done the same thing subsequent to the debate. A campaign stop and open question period every day. It would have buried the microscope that remains focused on him. Frankly he doesn't have the physical stamina to do that anymore. Jill, his staff and democrats in the inner circle know that so they will continue to protect him. Continue to keep him hidden away to conserve his energy until the cameras and press are about. So right up until election everything he says and does will be examined in the finest detail. Giving Trump a free pass to lie, pander to his base and dream about Jan 20th.
  15. Yes he can win and the polls are dead even. But you're right to be concerned because the states are so high. As other democrats are concerned and at this point are holding back $90 million in donations. MAGA anarchists are not concerned they have one eye glued to FOX and one on YouTube. Dreaming about the day when their dictator is sworn in. But I could be wrong so don't read the NYT essay "Biden’s Path to Re-election Has All But Vanished" Which paints a much bleaker picture, sorry.
  16. Never argue facts with MAGA republicans. They will drag you off to YouTube and beat you with ignorance and stupidity.
  17. As long as they don't target the regulars in SC it could be OK. I understand your two disparate positions below and feel for you.
  18. I was thinking of "XXX: Anarchy 99" "It's what we've been living since 1999 when we left the army of Mother Russia. Many of our comrades died in combat and we said: "To hell with this shit!" They died for what? Politics! Whose politics? Not ours! So we decided from now on to do what we want when we want! It's in their honor we call ourselves Anarchy 99."
  19. These Countries Have the Most Well-Developed Public Education Systems The Nordic countries ranking top and the US ranking #16. You're hero Trump will fix all that come January because after all he loves the poorly educated. At least American children will learn more about Jebus. Currently the US spends 38% more on elementary and secondary education than the OECD average. College spending was double the average. Unfortunately this spending can't overcome FOX news and GOP propaganda. Oh well, the US will have Orban and Erdoğan as kindred friends come 2025. Orban is visting Trump in the next couple days in Florida. Fresh off his visit to Putin. Perhaps Putin will have sent some personal gifts for Trump.
  20. Of course the US will survive. Of course anything Trump does can be somewhat undone given 2-4 terms. But IMO: Trump will most likely file to withdraw from NATO. But NATO will survive and its remaining members will continue to support Ukraine. Trump will turn the UN into a tool for the religious right and to benefit Putin. The US department of justice will become a giant sh*tshow. As the GOP weaponizes it it will attempt to attack anyone that they perceive to be an "enemy". Although they will have limited success it will cost the department its best and brightest talent. The GOP will appoint so many judges to the bench that it will change everything for the worse for decades. Aileen Cannon only younger, on steroids working for Jebus and the right is the model. The FBI will largely be dismantled. The education department will be gutted and massive privatization will be attempted. Huge tax cuts will dismantle most American social programs and cause the deficit to skyrocket. Inflation will skyrocket and the response will be massive import tariffs.
  21. I know a couple millionaires who live in Vancouver and rent. That same logic could apply to a NetJets customer. "You rent when you can own"
  22. Wrong. Trump has the gun, the religious, those who believe the state should occupy no more than perhaps 10% of the economy and the ignorant isolationists. Read the 2025 guidebook.
  23. Isn't that the definition of the Trump voter? Even Brent recognizes them for what they are.
  24. Agree guaranteed Trump wouldn't have known how many miles of border Finland shares with Russia. Trump would have had no specifics about anything. Biden's answers were intelligent and well conceived. As are many democrats and those who understand the issues. Unfortunately I have to agree with: The low information voter is another name for the ignorant voter. There is just not enough margin for error to risk a Trump win. IMO Biden should step down. Too many Americans don't understand what the 2025 plan is about. Too many are busy trying to make tight budgets stretch and falsely believe Trump will improve it.
