    covid-19

One thing about republicans they have truly learnt the art of distraction from trump. No power, no safe drinking water, just throw some red meat to the masses. No masks, a new wave of immigrants. Next there will be something about guns.
  2. If those kids realized their parents were MIA down a rabbit hole they'd be upset.

I take it you've tried these resources. Find a Pain Management Specialist
  4. How about $92.2 million US for a image of a guy with his clothes on backwards: Or $558,000 for a bottle of wine which is almost guaranteed to have spoiled(73 years old).
  5. Thats like saying the GOP is a non-issue. A while back there were musical devices that used a spinning piece of plastic. Occasionally they would malfunction and repeat the same verse over and over. There was no fixing the issue.
  6. The lure of the rabbit hole has been around for a while. It plays upon the psychology of distraction. If necessary the mods may have to send Elon Musk's boring machine to get to the bottom of this hole.
  7. How about when they kill the owner?
  8. You forgot the full size reproduction of the jail cell were he spent the final years of his life.
  9. Neighbors are into horses in all directions from my property. Large animal vets are very expensive because the vet has to travel. $1000-1500 a year is not unusual. They need bedding, figure a 1/2 bale per horse per day($1) for five months. They need food a couple lbs of grain a day and 1/4 bale alfalfa Generally $125 a month. Many of these horses don't see a rider in the course of a whole year. I tried leaving out floss for the cat. So far nothing. When you adopt a stray thats what you get.
  10. I'll restate my thoughts that may not be clear. People spend money. They can spend it on animate beings like horses, dogs, cats, etc. Or they can spend it on motorcycles, cars, art, fancy wine, etc. Its their money to spend the way they like. I spent $450 earlier this month to have my cat's teeth cleaned. The most I've ever paid to have my own teeth cleaned is $150. I think the Farmer's Dog is an example of excess. Given my cat is about five and never had its teeth cleaned and my vet stated it should be done. I handed over the MC.
  11. "Pets are no different from all the other inanimate things people spend money on. Prime examples artwork that hangs on the wall whose attraction fades within months." My point is people have animate and inanimate spending as they choose. For some there is "Like you, we love our pets and care about their health. That’s why we created The Farmer’s Dog — a service that delivers balanced, freshly made pet food with simple recipes, guided by science, and driven by love." Obviously pets require food, veterinary care, exercise, stimulation, attention, etc. etc. Biggun has his iron horse that can be parked for years if necessary. Horses require vets, bedding, hay, etc. They also require regular riding of they start to develop ban habits.
  12. I'm not either. This story is newsworthy because of what happened to the dog-walker not because the pets were stolen. Pets are no different from all the other inanimate things people spend money on. Prime examples artwork that hangs on the wall whose attraction fades within months. Divorces can involve tens of thousands of dollars in legal bills fighting over pets. Face it pets don't talk back, lie, etc.
  13. Pet industry expenditure in the United States from 1994 to 2020. $100 billion in the US per year. Value of dog walkers.... no results found.
  14. When China, or Russia, farms out programming for its bots to Islamabad University grads this is what you get. Their top code writers are hacking the DOD, FAA, etc.
  15. Yeah look at Tiger Woods. Proof there is no racism in America eh Brent? ...er all the other KKK, apologists, etc. Yourself excluded of course.
  16. "As for rebates, Manitoba families of four receive an average of $486 in carbon tax rebates this year. That's $170 per adult, or $85 for the second adult and $42 per child."https://www.canadadrives.ca/blog/news/carbon-taxes-and-carbon-tax-rebates-in-canada-explained. (2021) The additional cost of residential heating for apartments and municipal carbon taxes reflected into property taxes. Will likely be passed onto those same people as rent increases and bus fare increases. But your example would likely have that auto-less family ahead $300 this year. A three-four vehicle family in a rural area, in an apartment may see no net benefit of rebates.
  17. President Biden has initiated a price of carbon in the US. The interim figure — $51 for every ton of carbon above the $8 cost used under former President Donald trump. In Canada this year its $40 CDN a ton rising to $170 per ton of CO2 as a carbon price by 2030. In Canada that carbon tax means: "The average household that was heating with natural gas would spend a bit more than $200 extra per year. The average Canadian keeps their car for 6.4 years and drives it 15,200 kilometers or 9,400 miles annually. At $50, they’d be spending about $150 more a year,... at a $50 carbon price, a Canadian would save about $8,700 driving an electric car over the life of the vehicle. $8,700 goes a long way toward defraying the cost of a Tesla Model Y." So in nine years(at $170 a ton) a new Tesla will save $29,580 over its life( 6.4 years ownership and drives it 15,200 kilometers or 9,400 miles annual use) or $4600 a year. "When New York set its own carbon cost in late 2020, it used a 2% rate, raising the cost to $125 per ton. from:Trump downplayed the costs of carbon pollution. That’s about to change
  18. Al-Battani, Muslim Scientist(858 – 929) "One of al-Battānī's best-known achievements in astronomy was the determination of the solar year as being 365 days, 5 hours, 46 minutes and 24 seconds, which is only 2 minutes and 22 seconds off.[14] Another of al-Battānī's accomplishments is that he concluded how an annular solar eclipse occurs.[12] He did this by observing that the radius between the Earth and the Sun changes throughout the year.[12] This led him to arrive to the conclusion that when the Sun is farthest from the Earth, an annular solar eclipse occurs.[12] He was the first to make this observation and inference."

    covid-19

Perhaps its just me but i don't see anything wrong with this! Is this a Canadian thing, i.e. overcompensation? By wrong I mean him traveling to a rich country to get vaccinated. He broke no Canadian nor UAE laws. "The head of Canada’s biggest public pension fund abruptly resigned from his post shortly after news broke that he avoided the country's sluggish vaccine rollout by traveling to the United Arab Emirates to get a Covid-19 shot. "Recently, our CEO Mark Machin decided to travel personally to the United Arab Emirates where he arranged to be vaccinated against COVID-19," the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board said in a statement Friday. "After discussions last evening with the Board, Mr. Machin tendered his resignation and it has been accepted."
  21. My thoughts, 1/2 a year and she knows more than the collection of EU, NASA, Chinese and Russian scientists that have all concluded global warming is real. Some of that astronomy.
  22. Topography, traffic volumes and money dictate most road construction contracts. With certain exceptions of course.. Then you factor in environmental issues like rainfall, snow, animal corridors, nearby urban areas, etc. Thats why a lawyer stated “That would be data that would put that cities on notice that it’s a dangerous stretch of roadway,’’ Shouse, who now runs his own law firm, told USA TODAY Sports. “And their failure to take reasonable steps to alleviate that danger, to either redesign the roadway or add a traffic signal, reduce the speed limit, add speed bumps, take various measures to reduce the risk, their failure to do that could potentially subject them to liability.’’ What he forgot to mention is that the speed limit on that road is 45 mph. Now if you're on some sort of crotch rocket with the stickiest widest track tires. Perhaps you can negotiate that road at one sheriff's deputy said he's clocked cars going as fast at 80 mph.. But the laws of physics take president over inattention, stupidity and bravado. As you know those factors can all act to separate a biker from his ride.
  23. Or the transmission line to nowhere. With the Paris agreement back in effect. Perhaps N.D. needs to understand their place in a new reduced emissions world.
  24. Perhaps, but in this case it sure sounds as if the stink of trump and Washington politics.
  25. It sure looks as if he fell asleep, so undue care and attention. The local Sheriff could be waiting for the results of the "black box" results. Tiger was charged a time or two before.
