  1. Well just imagine if trump had gone ahead and invaded Iraq just to take their oil! All those Brown Arabs would have moved to the US just like Puerto Ricans. Seriously are runaway national debts not indentured servitude for a countries children?
  2. Why are McDonald’s restaurants leaving Walmart stores? My bad. I guess its been a while since i was at a Walmart. I made the reference to better represent the great unwashed average GOP voter.
  3. I'm pro immigration. Canada will not meet any greenhouse gas emissions even with the elimination of coal. IMO each immigrant is another equal user of power, gas, etc. At least the US policy of almost no immigration is limiting that factor. The US grew at .1% last year. The lowest since the founding of America. Thats likely a good reason why there are serious job vacancies in many segments of the labor market. Perhaps if a Big Mack hits $10 at the local Walmart the great unwashed right voter will let a few Brown people in.
  4. Unfortunately there are too many Brents in the US. It looks as if BBB is dead. Too many Americans are more interested in obstruction rather than shovel in the ground solutions. "So much for the myriad claims about going “beyond coal.” According to a new report from the Rhodium Group, U.S. coal consumption jumped by 17 percent last year compared to 2020 levels. That’s a huge increase, which Rhodium says was “largely driven by a run-up in natural gas prices.” Rather than burn gas, which averaged about $4.93 per million Btu last year — more than two times the price in 2020 — many electricity producers chose to burn coal instead. The surge in domestic coal use is significant for two reasons. First, it proves again that coal remains an essential fuel for electricity producers both here in the U.S. and around the world. Second, it shows that the Biden administration’s pledge to decarbonize the electric grid by 2035 is little more than wishful thinking." Canada is phasing out coal use and exports by 2030. My prediction is a continued rise in temperatures, drought and fires. Brent and his ilk still peddling the denial line as the west continues to burn. As the US SE continues to flood. Get ready for a new flood of immigration from central America. As drought devastates central America.
  5. Brent sees the world through a peephole. It seems large to him.
  6. This and the unwillingness of the political classes to stand against unending harassment. The republicans who voted for trump's impeachment have dropped like flies. Gerrymandering and primaries will send the most radical to the ballot box.The idealist from either party willing to stand up against the mob mentality of the tribe, has vanished. Liz Cheney the sole exception, you go girl. It looks less and less likely that BBB will come to a vote.More and more likely that democrats will lose their majority. The dreams of addressing climate change and a more equitable society seems to be drying up.
  7. As was remarked a big tractor is the best weapon. If so, aren't Canadian truckers potentially armed idiots as well? In any event it usually takes two for a road rage event. Its far easier to stay cool because everybody has a bad day once in a while.Life is too short to get upset by bad driving and quick tempers.

    covid-19

Perhaps it was his vision that was effected?
  9. Line five on your big cheques every two weeks. Just below your revenue Canada deductions. "US operation danger premium". Did you think they were just being nice?
  10. Hey good guys need to protect their freedoms too. All kidding aside what has America become? The GOP devotee had a previous road rage incident so clearly couldn't control himself. That didn't preclude him from getting his mandatory GOP approved carry permit. Then he decides to assault a law abiding democrat. Obviously democrat because he was driving a white Prius. Good thing the law abiding, peace loving, Prius driver was a new age one. Also with a gun.
  11. Ford’s market cap tops $100 billion for first time ever As at today. "The gains have been fueled by Fords’ plans to increase production of electric vehicles, including the Mustang Mach-E crossover and an upcoming electric version of its best-selling F-150 pickup that’s due out this spring. The efforts are part of a Ford+ turnaround plan led by CEO Jim Farley, who took over the helm in October 2020. Ford’s now worth more than crosstown rival General Motors, at about $90 billion, as well as electric vehicle start-up Rivian Automotive, at $75 billion, that has failed to sustain gains following a blockbuster IPO in November. Ford continues to significantly trail market cap-leader Tesla at more than $1 trillion market cap."
  12. I heard Sidney Powell is available and her publicity hound persona could help in the primaries and election.
  13. You mean they are fabricating misdemeanor convictions of anti-government conduct? Just to curry favor among GOP voters? Outstanding idea. I have to give credit where credit is due. Republicans know how the political game is really played.
  14. Too funny. I was talking to a friend last night, another skydiver. He keeps three handguns throughout the main floor of his house. All concealed for home defense. AFAIK the community that he lives in has never had a homicide, armed robbery, nor any home invasion. Of course he's a FOX watching, trump supporter. So needless to say we don't have serious political discussions. His 40-50 other weapons are in a gun safe.

Which is sad news as he did everything possible to fight the anti-vaxxers. But as a republican when you sleep with dogs you get fleas.
  16. Just when you thought you had a whack job defined. a new definition arises.
  17. Some countries put crooked leaders on trial. S. Korea, France, Italy, etc. But America treats its presidents as if they are quasi-royals. They not only never put them on trial. They won't even remove them from office. Whats the old saw the government you elect is the one you deserve.

The cross is heavy. So frequent reminders of the weight and pain associated with those efforts is needed. Such that anyone who notices can witness said sacrifices.
  20. According to recent surveys 40% of Americans were thinking with their guts. With the other 60% using the brains that evolution developed.
  21. I personally believe in that theology. I.e. people like yourself that help others, like your military support groups. Will have positive feelings about themselves and the others that they surround themselves with. Which encourages self esteem, lowers blood pressure, stress, etc. All of which leads to success. The same when you give money to worthy causes. Of course on the other end a scamming clergy-person who lives in a 35,000 square foot house. Moves their ass around at 318 gallons an hour in their Falcon 7x.Should drop dead tomorrow over the associated guilt. So I guess that theory is bunk.
  22. That and the 35,000 square foot house. The staff to service his needs. To wash his feet.
