I have it from inside sources that trump's accountant told him donations to trumps personal charities has been drying up.

I'd guess that Finnish authorities are reevaluating his gun license.

At times i think winsor is vaporware because akin to the energizer bunny. He has kept this thread alive single handily for 900 posts.

So you're saying that even Alex's own family is conspiring against him?

Seasons greetings to everyone and for Christians, Merry Christmas.

Some could start positive threads about their region. But the massive chips on both shoulders from life experiences. The weight of the crosses they carry on each shoulder from the perceived injustices thrust upon their beliefs. Has caused them to bend over double. Such that they can't see the light of the horizon. Others can talk about barn building and the actions that they undertake towards others. Not because the others are of the same religion but just because. I know that the barn builders would give a couple pies away if they saw a need. Or even all the pies away and go hungry themselves SC can be about the positive so i won't dwell on the _______ in other threads about religion.

Yes, yes and yes. I would not hesitate to donate money to them. They are well known for running a sharp operation with no waste of funds. The Salvation Army is equal to them as well.

Its amazing how the thought of prison stripes brings focus to the racist mind.

Bigun is comfortable in his identity and his personal relationship with his Christian identity. IMO thats why he doesn't take my positions as personal attack. Coreece is not and thats why he views them as personal attacks. As I've posted before I was raised as a practicing Catholic and was a altar boy at one time. My eldest sister is still very active in her church. Perhaps its like an ex-smoker or ex-alcoholic. I view some aspects of religion in black and white terms. Don't steal, lie, prey upon the weak and vulnerable, etc. Don't use religion to get on up on another group or individual. Together with the other associated ideals. Is contrasted with what actually happens in the name of other religions and gods. The Buddhists in Myanmar.is an extrema example. But what all religions have in common. Is a refusal of one denomination to condemn the crimes of another. The hypocrisy of another.religion or sub-sect of their own religion. Its wrong.

Bill Gates and the charitable trust that he and Melinda founded comes to mind. Of course there have been recent disclosures about how Bill may have taken certain liberties, with sexual advancements, upon employees. Others attack him and his trust based upon what I assume to be jealousy. Given the whole context of Melinda, Bill and their charitable giving. Bill spearheading "The Giving Pledge" and their superbly well managed charitable trust. I would always cut Bill allot of slack. To your point, there is substantial efforts by Christians, Muslims and other religions to help others. Most of which ends up as non-denominational help.In general religions are a benefit to their groups and a net positive to everyone around them, i.e. society. I may come off as substantially anti-Christian and anti-religion. I'm not. Because this forum is mainly US based and US politically inclined. The overhanging self interests of Evangelical Christians comes to the fore of my positions. I need not restate any of my thoughts on that group. We could discuss Buddhism and the nationalist Buddhist prosecutions of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. About the refusal of other Buddhists to stand up and condemn such actions. But thats another thread. What gets me up in arms about religion is the actions of green churches/congregations in Europe. As quoted in my first post. In contrast to the ideals of US pastors, their mega-churches and private Gulfstream jets. Which can be contrasted with true ideals of Christian conduct such as the Ohio pastor example aforementioned.

I find the concept of blocking people somewhat repugnant and disrespectful. I've come to the conclusion however that you're right. On the internet anyone from a 12 year old delinquent with a computer. To those with all of the best qualities of human behavior. Each can have the same say. Repetitive statements via posting of information so fundamentally, fatally flawed. As to lead you to believe that they are an uneducated 12 year old. Who takes comic relief from wasting your energy and time. Warrants blocking. As such I've followed your actions.

In some third world countries the only groups that help the poor are religious groups from western countries. There will be a minister from Ohio with a little church supported by a congregation in the US. They operate schools, provide very basic health care and in general support the community. The lives they save from poverty, disease, etc. is incalculable. Because it takes so much support above what a usually corrupt their governments do.

As Christmas approaches its time to celebrate the good work that some within this religion do. Those who choose to put US right wing white nationalism aside. Instead acting to help others in the real name of their religion. Migrants seeking asylum at U.S. border get help from Latter-day Saint Charities, others "A Haitian family waded across the Rio Grande from Mexico into Texas on Thursday and surrendered to police who took them to agents from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which held the asylum-seekers for one night and then released them. Instead of making their own way on the streets, the family accepted a bus ride to a new Family Transfer Center sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the YMCA and other charitable organizations in Houston, Texas." It takes volunteers and it takes money to help others like this. "Latter-day Saint Charities is providing funding, volunteers and senior missionary couples at the center, which is located in a warehouse operated by The National Association of Christian Churches near Bush Intercontinental Airport. Other partners include Catholic Charities, YMCA International Services, Texas Adventist Community Services, Houston Responds and The Houston Food Bank." From sermons about climate justice to carbon-neutral church halls and eco-friendly initiatives like recycling candles, a growing number of churches are going green. "The Lutheran church in Denmark has traditionally avoided "political" issues, he explains, and a decade ago many church leaders dismissed climate action as being part of a "left-wing agenda." Not any more. Climate change is no longer politically divisive — at least not in Denmark. In December 2019, the country passed a law committing it to reduce carbon emissions 70% by 2030, with support from parties across the political spectrum. Faith communities are increasingly acknowledging the climate crisis. In June 2019, for example, Pope Francis declared a "global climate emergency." For Hansen, it follows that "interest in green churches is booming."..."Denmark now has 232 "green churches," 32 of which signed up in 2019 alone — an increase of 16% on the previous year. " The potential of religious groups to work for a public good and need. Paints Christianity in a positive light and perhaps will overcome the stain that other segments allied with US political interests have spread.

IMO Brent has you beat in intellectual curiosity and math. His ability to establish commonality in his debate is superior. But in attempts to use fact in support of argument he's well above. Wealth & Inequality in the U.S. and China (From USC) In China "The richest 10% own an increasing share of China's total wealth and the share held by the bottom 50% own less. The U.S. was and remains more unequal in wealth distribution than China, though the gap between the two countries is narrowing. Perhaps you will state some other mean statistic or other such fictitious variable of imagined relevance. What you don't seem to realize is that you typically post in such styles when your religious ideals have been exposed for what they are and your ego comes to the fore.

Mt. Kilimanjaro is at the Epicenter of Climate Change "In recent years the impact of climate change on the mountain has become increasingly evident. The once-famous snows of Kilimanjaro have been melting at an alarming rate, and the glacier that lined its volcanic crater has shrunken to just a shadow of its former self. In fact, climatologists now say that the glacier will likely be completely gone by 2033, limiting the amount of freshwater available to the local Tanzanians living long Kili’s base." Climate change and Kilimanjaro "since 1989, when there were 3.3 square kilometres, there has been a decline of 33%. At that rate, say the experts, Kili will be completely ice-free within the next decade or two.‘We found that the summit of the ice fields has lowered by at least 17 metres since 1962,’ said Professor Lonnie Thompson of Ohio State University. ‘That’s an average loss of about a half-metre (a foot and a half) in height each year." Troll, troll, troll, your boat gently down the stream. Unfortunately that stream won't be flowing down Kili to the villages below for much longer.

Statistics is hardly "eagerness to defend". The fact that China has more than four times as many people seems to have escaped you and Brent in your efforts to explain the American absence from climate accords until recently. The absence of the American right and the GOP to even acknowledge the existence of global warming.Or as America's number one ranking as a global polluter, see below. Historical responsibility for climate change is at the heart of debates over climate justice. "History matters because the cumulative amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted since the start of the industrial revolution is closely tied to the 1.2C of warming that has already occurred....In first place on the rankings, the US has released more than 509GtCO2 since 1850 and is responsible for the largest share of historical emissions, Carbon Brief analysis shows, with some 20% of the global total....China is a relatively distant second, with 11%, followed by Russia (7%), Brazil (5%) and Indonesia (4%). The latter pair are among the top 10 largest historical emitters, due to CO2 from their land."

So you're saying at this point that the Christian right doesn't control or call the tune of the GOP in American politics?

Significantly understates the issue. “If we are going to have one nation under God, which we must, we have to have one religion,” Flynn declared at a right-wing rally last weekend at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. “One nation under God and one religion under God.” At that same church worship ;"Viral video from the rally also showed attendees in the pews chanting, “Let’s go, Brandon!” The phrase, popular among the Trump-won crowd, is a code for "Fuck Joe Biden." A better example than above of the current state of affairs of Christianity in American cannot be found. Here is the video from the church with the chant starting at 21 seconds. "Project Blitz is a coalition of Christian right groups" The first tier of Project Blitz aims at importing the Christian nationalist worldview into public schools and other aspects of the public sphere, the second tier aims at making government increasingly a partner in “Christianizing” America, and the third tier contains three types of proposed laws that “protect” religious beliefs and practices specifically intended to benefit bigotry." Be it gerrymandering, anti-abortion laws, anti LGBT laws the christian right through its proxy party the GOP. Have enacted legislation and measures that are not previously considered conservative. But in fact are white Christian in effect.

Further to Christians being attacked in India: "New Delhi/Roorkee, India – In late October, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi met and invited Pope Francis to India, the country with the second-largest Christian population in Asia. However, in a speech about two weeks earlier, Mohan Bhagwat, head of the far-right Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the ideological mentor of Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), warned Hindus about religious conversions and alleged “demographic changes” in India’s northeastern states, which have a large Christian population... In his annual speech on October 14 to mark the Hindu festival of Dussehra (also known as Durga Puja), Bhagwat said: “Rising population and demographic imbalance need to be addressed and population policy is to be redesigned. And that policy should be applicable to all irrespective of caste and creed. Illegal immigration in bordering districts and conversions in [the] northeast have changed the demographics further.” The RSS aims to create an ethnic Hindu state out of India. As the head of Sangh Parivar, the umbrella group of Hindu nationalist organisations including the BJP, Bhagwat’s Dussehra speech is considered an agenda-setter for the year." The language of the BJP party, the ruling party, is remarkably similar to that of the US Christian right. Certainly the GOP party and its leadership.

Christians are not the only "culture" that believes that non-members of that group should have their rights and freedoms infringed. That calling out the Christian right is both deserved and warranted. "INDORE, India — The Christians were mid-hymn when the mob kicked in the door. A swarm of men dressed in saffron poured inside. They jumped onstage and shouted Hindu supremacist slogans. They punched pastors in the head. They threw women to the ground, sending terrified children scuttling under their chairs. “They kept beating us, pulling out hair,” said Manish David, one of the pastors who was assaulted. “They yelled: ‘What are you doing here? What songs are you singing? What are you trying to do?’” The attack unfolded on the morning of Jan. 26 at the Satprakashan Sanchar Kendra Christian center in the city of Indore."

Emissions per capita demonstrate a countries geography, gross amount of oil and gas production-refining capacity.Together with that countries advancement in energy production and inherent energy resources. Heavy industry production and to a smaller extent lifestyles.Together with the gross number of inhabitants including livestock. Oil wells flare and leak methane, natural gas, etc. as a result of production. Qatar for example is ranked 14th in the world for oil production. It ranks sixth in the world.for gas production. Qatar is minuscule in population and geographic size. Suggesting that these emissions are political is both pandering to stupidity and ignorant.

As compared to republican tourism? That would be Donald Trump’s sons, Eric and Donald Jr above. Travel to a "shithole" country and kill whatever you can.

China uses 150 million metric tonnes less coal annually than it did in 2013. China emits less than 1/2 the greenhouse gasses per person than America does. Obviously you got you're environmental education on FOX.

There must be a medical term for people that want to kill off their own tribes. Sarah Palin says she has Covid and urges people to wear masks “I strongly encourage everyone to use common sense to avoid spreading this and every other virus out there,” Palin said, in urging vigilance but not fear. She said she also advised “reprioritizing some personal time and resources to ensure as healthy a lifestyle as you can create so when viruses do hit, you have at least some armor to fight it”. Now I remember its called republicanism. Perhaps President Biden should give out Glocks, a 26 of bourbon and carry permits for all republicans this Christmas.
