  1. This is a trick that my Mom taught me. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Mix together some sugar and boric acid with water to make a paste. Place in a swallow dish near the ants. They'll eat it and DIE
  2. Yeah take Skymama's advice and stay away from creepy RW Pops jumpers like Andy! http://3ringnecklace.com/
  3. I had two mals early on and I had to take a break from skydiving because I was so afraid. I had recurring nightmares of low pulls and pounding in, and yet I was uninjured and I would just walk away. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  4. "You've been staring over that edge for hours. And people die down there. And dying when you're not sick is really sick you know, REALLY!" -Better Off Dead "So you're telling me there's a chance?" -Dumb and Dumber "You are drunk. And when you are drunk you forget that I am in charge. So which way do we go? THAT WAY!" - Willow "Bring out your dead" DONK! -Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail "You had me at blood and semen." -Dodgeball "I'm kicking my ass. Do you mind?!" -Liar, Liar http://3ringnecklace.com/
  5. I'm very happy with my BF of almost 2 years. We have a solid relationship despite some rocky times. We are of the age when most of our friends are getting married and popping babies out. Bottom line is, I don't want to get married EVER. Neither does he. It's one of the best things about our relationship. Mainly I don't want to get married because I don't want to get divorced! http://3ringnecklace.com/
  6. All the students go arch reach throw, arch reach throw, arch reach throw... All the students land feet knees face, feet knees face, feet knees face... http://3ringnecklace.com/
  7. Hmmmm I'm no doctor but you may want to get checked out before continuing. There may be an inner ear problem,... or not. Welcome to skydiving! I hope you are able to get it resolved and continue on in this great sport! http://3ringnecklace.com/
  8. Have you ever heard of the phrase "enjoy the journey?" Hey MADPROPS, obviously you've never gone to a skydiving funeral. Or taken care for anyone who has broken their leg skydiving. Or seen anyone hurt skydiving. Here's a news alert: other people care if they get hurt or die. Your attitude will kill someone else as well, and I don't even want to be on the same DROPZONE as you. Nice knowing ya. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  9. Pay a packer to teach you. You'll end up saving a lot of money. You can do this on a windy/rainy day too. As scary as packing can seem, it's actually quite easy. You just have to develop a routine and practice practice practice. I'm a type of person who can see something take place or listen to someone tell me how to do it, but I can't learn it unless I do it myself. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  10. :8:0 I usually do more jumps than that, but winds got pretty bad on Sunday. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  11. It takes me almost exactly 2 hours to SSM, going 190 to I-35. Yes I go through Austin but I don't hit a lot of traffic at all. I have a fuel efficent car, so it's not a big deal. I stay the night there on Saturdays. They have a bunk house, and I believe it's $5 a night. When I was at Skydive Temple over the 4th of July weekend, they said that they usually have a bunch of military guys there but I bunch have deployed. So I don't know who's there now. Hope this helps! http://3ringnecklace.com/
  12. Welcome to Texas. It's freakin' HOT! I live in Killeen and I jump at San Marcos (because they have an otter). SSM is two hours away and the closest big airplane DZ. They also have a brand new building, cafe, indoor airconditioned packing, and a pool. We could use some free flyers! Skydive Temple is about 20 mins away and they fly a Cessna (aka no longer fly a PAC). They have wonderful facilities and super nice people as well. Aggieland is two plus hours away. We drove their one time only to find out they were closed. I'm sure it's a great place, as I have heard good things about it from others. Where ever you choose (SSM, SDT, or anywhere else), I'm sure you'll be welcomed with open arms! Well, at least it's better than staying in Killeen for the weekend anyway.. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  13. Regis, I am having a similar on-going problem with my Stiletto 150. It is very old, has oodles of jumps (I don't even know how many), and I'm not the first owner of it. It has a built in left hand turn. I had a master rigger look at it, and he adjusted two lines, but the problem never went away. I demoed a 135 from PD and that canopy flew straight (so it's not me or my rig). Feeling your pain buddy! http://3ringnecklace.com/
  14. I've got 2 speeding tickets. Not bad considering my BF has gotten at least 30- he's lost count. Young boys + fast motocycle = bad news He has gotten any in last two years though. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  15. At the DZ that I go to, the tandems go out at 10.5K, and the fun jumpers get a second pass at 13.5K. So we don't have that problem. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  16. Yeah, it's called 'Oprah's Book Club" http://3ringnecklace.com/
  17. The coolest one that I've seen is "DOOR" It was in Thomston GA, but I don't know who it was... http://3ringnecklace.com/
  18. Are you replying to me? I'm going to assume you weren't replying to me. No, I wasn't talking to you. Sorry for the confusion. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  19. If they were sick/injuried and I had to take care of them, then of course I would. But other than that, I can't think of a good enough reason... http://3ringnecklace.com/
  20. Correction, "you're not that good." I find it hard to believe that you would post that here and not expect people to disagree with you. I'll just leave it at that. http://3ringnecklace.com/
  21. let me guess- you went to ASC? I said too much already.... http://3ringnecklace.com/
