Just finished it off the other night. Ready to take out and jump whenever I actually find the time. http://picasaweb.google.com/charley.kurlinkus/HDSetup#

Plus national geographic adventure

Ive only flown with them in wingsuits and its pretty easy to stay with the rodeo. At a boogie a couple years ago we had 3 birdeos and like 15 additional trackers and they seemed to be able to keep the fallrate just fine. So I guess you can do it either way
-
Well, you could set it at zero and then know how far it is to the ground, or you could set it to some other random number, try to remember it under canopy, and then subtract, I just cant seem to figure out what is easier...

the matching thong that lies beneath is the true tipoff..

Nope, that is actual honest to goodness green. Had to wait a little bit longer, but Robi managed to find some.

Sorry these arent from work, but I dont thing it would be appropriate attire in the OR. Thing flies amazingly, and thanks to PF for finding the custom color.

I like the looks of the jobo giga one drive. Any problems with any of these in regards to file formats or anything like that?

Anyone got a good product that will allow me to download memorystick contents onto a portable device. Going on a long trip and would prefer not to bring along a laptop to download and clear my card.

Sucks in sitting in the hospital on a 30 hour call instead of being out there flying. Out of curiosity, what are the breakoff and deployment altitudes? Im sure theres plenty of people there making norcal proud

Is there anyway to get this into my cookie box without just hacking it off. Just got it today and figuring out the best way to play with it.

If youre looking for a suit for BASE someday, I would go with the phantom2. I flew both of these suits on the same day, and I actually found the range in the phantom to be far better. It seems hard to really get the forward speed up on the ghost. I flew a skyflier3 and phantom for the most part, and now I am about to get my phantom2 and cannot wait!

Birdman Impact / Phoenix Fly Tracking Suit
hjumper33 replied to James.UWE's topic in Gear and Rigging
Agreed. I started flying on birdman wingsuits and had their "pantz". Phoenix fly blows them out of the water in virtually all levels of performance, except for form fitting euro-jeans. -
James has taken some awesome ones at lodi but I wont post them without permission. I will however post this one scott took which ive always been partial to, because I dont care what he thinks!
-
How many does Ed have. He did his 10,000th skydive not too long ago, plus hes fairly humble for what a badass he is.
-
Yah I hate those base guys who think they can fly. The nerve of flying 3 feet from a cliff with one parachute when you could be flying within an ill defined proximity to 3 other guys with wingsuits and then complaining about which one wasnt straightening their legs enough. I hate those fags!
-
I see you posting in the on bj.com now too, why not just get some base gear. If you like visuals at 2000 feet, try exiting there and taking it down to 400.
-
Monkey boy had one for a while
-
I did exactly that. Well, I only have a dozen or so phantom 1 jumps and about 100 s3 jumps which i feel has similar performance. I demoed the phantom 2 and was sold pretty quickly. Backflying is incredibly easier, and the wing inflation is much faster and stronger. I flew in a three way with a phantom, myself in the s3, and a phantom2 recently and the heavier less experience phantom2 pilot smoked us both at the end. If Ed would ever get mine made and delivered, ill let you know how fall rates compare. I think it will be awesome for base as well.
-
I want in, and I second avery's question, but my definition of low may be different.
-
Usually initiate pull at 3k, but if some of those dirty lodi lowpullers are around I might get convinced to go lower. Ive moved to a square canopy, so I might lower my hard deck just a smidge depending on how confident I get in it. I wont name names, but nothing like pitching at 3, opening, unzipping arms and legs, stowing slider, and then seeing someone that was on the same jump at breakoff pitch oh yah, and s3 with a crossfire 129 usually, now going to be a phantom 2 with a sabre 120.
-
Never used a leg pouch for S3 in either skydiving of base jumping situations and it was fine. With recent events, just make just youre rigging that shrivel flap correctly. If the bridle is extra long, it could just be the hesitation of pilot chute inflation after bridle extension, or your pitch is piss poor. Make sure youre getting that pilot chute out there hard, even with the leg pouch.

So back to my original question, am I allowed to call myself a world record holder, pretty much anyone saying I can is all I need to start doing so. I just want all the wingsuit gods of the world to get together and race balls out in classics, the way it out to be, then we'll know who the best pilot is.

First of all brian sucks at GL so dont listen to him. If youre really serious and want to GL more than just a few times, get an old stilletto or sabre for like $300 and a crappy base rig. I think my whole GL setup cost me a total of $250 and it works just great, and doubles as an intentional cutaway rig. This video shows the dangers of GL including maniacal laughter. Someone else can make the clicky. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUDoYM--PBA

Current official world record is the 16 way done at lodi. It was perfect, we did it twice, and more importantly, I was on it. Cmon, what are the odds that ill ever get a world record again, at least let me have this one for a couple of months.
