would you like me to write a script to post all night just so you wont have the last word? Quote The only "script" you really need is for, say, prozac? Time to schedule more "therapy". -

the man has a point. -
which begs the question: why is Heineken so much better in europe? While in greece, most of your choices are amstel (reg, not light) or Heineken...I stick with the Heineken. I could never drink as much of it here, it's just not as good. (selection and availability aside, of course)

let go of what? i'm not holding on to anything except my wine glass at the moment.... but i dont believe in giving 'gifts' with strings attached either... if its a gift.. its yours.. do what you will with it.. if i want to share it NOW i'll grab the opener from my car, but i'd never expect a Host to bow to my whims at their party... I also try not to have ulterior motives ever.... unfortunately its not a common or respected trait anymore.. *speechless* -

QuoteI just realized that he never said it was a gift. It was a bottle of wine he brought to share at a dinner party. Quote no more questions, your honor. The defense rests. *then takes a drink* -
There is a good pub less than 5 minutes away. Why am I not there right now for last call? *shakes head* I need help, damnit.

So I think the right thing to do now would be to argue viciously about what the difference is between a dinner party, a party, a pot luck, etc. if it was MY party, I would have the wine handled. I am too much of a control freak not to. Given the taste of most of my friends, their stuff would get re-gifted to ppl AI don't know or like. *shrug* hey, so shoot me. -

dude, seriously, you must chill. Yer strokin out, right? admit it! FAKE gift? -
That's actually true....everybody grabs what they want despite the fact that they prolly brought some sorta lame light beer. I keep my eyes peeled for a good red, fine "sham-pon-ya", or really good gin or vodka. Oh, and tequila. Man, I am sort of thirsty.

Holy crap I did some of THE DUMBEST shit in my life drunk off of Boone's strawberry... we used to drink that stuff when we would cut, back in high school. sorta embarrassing I used to drink that. *note to self, erase Boone's Strawberry from memoirs and change to single malt scotch* -
I wanted to see what TV show David Mamet would attach his name to. I am sorry I missed it. Anybody know if they are gonna show a rerun before next week?

if it is really a gift, WHY do you attempt to determine its use? seems that its really not a gift is it? ok, first off, there is a difference between what's right and what is right. second, no, it's not really a gift, it's more like a considerate contribution that everybody makes and everybody gets to relish. relax......judge Smails -

Teacup ride wait, 80 minutes. I think not!Quote that is just wrong. That is the kind of "sleeper" ride where only the cool ppl know how great it is and that you should be able to just walk up and "twirl", ya know? -
this thread is making me wanna puke. I HATE waking up early.

QuoteEmily Post can kiss my ass. Quote Yeah! Furthermore, rather than WAITING for a special occasion, why not make an occasion special, HUH!? yeah, it's a gift, so what. Whenever I bring wine (which is always), I ask what they are serving or what the hosts like. Unless there is too much wine (yeah, right), said wine should be consumed and enjoyed.
